Drunk Driver for Android – by Dan Schroeder

Even though this is an app that doesn’t block you from calling people on your contact list, maybe it will keep you busy enough that you won’t even think about calling your friends while you are drunk. I don’t really understand how the name of this app fits the idea behind it, but I wasn’t the one who named it. This app is a basically a card game and it tells you when to drink and how many drinks to take, depending on which card shows up on your phone’s screen.

Download this app if you are notorious for drunk dialing friends. This app replaces all the phone numbers on your list of blocked contacts with a string of different numbers. If you decide you really want to call this person, then you can try to pass the sobriety test that the app offers. In order to try your hand at the sobriety test, you will need to open the DrunkBlocker app up.

UPD:

The DrunkBlocker app works as an effective preventative measure for those impulse calls you might regret the next morning. With its built-in sobriety test, which typically involves challenges such as remembering a sequence of numbers or completing complex tasks, it ensures that only the clear-headed can dial out. The app is a great tool for those who want to avoid awkward situations after a night out. It's simple to set up before you start drinking and provides a fun yet stern gatekeeper to prevent any mishaps with your phone contacts.

Drunk Text Preventer for Android – by JARA

Drunk Text Preventer for Android – by JARA Price: FREE at androidzoom.com

In case you are more of a drunk texter than a drunk dialer, this is the app for you. For this app to work properly, you will need to click on the button that says ‘Click When Drinking’. The button needs to be clicked before you even start drinking. If you do try to text someone while you have put this app into motion, you will be required to answer a question within 10 seconds. If you pass the test question, then you can use the phone for 30 minutes or tell the app you aren’t drinking any more.

UPD:

But here's the kicker, you're not going to be answering basic math. Oh no! The developers have dialed up the challenge by setting questions that get increasingly difficult as the night progresses. Imagine trying to solve a complex riddle when you can barely see the buttons. Even if you're determined to send that "I miss you" text at 2 AM, Drunk Text Preventer turns into a gatekeeper, ensuring that only the most sober and coherent messages make it through. What's more, the app keeps a log of your activities so you can remember (or cringe at) your attempts to outsmart it the next day.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

The InZeDogHouse App temporarily removes a number from your contact list so you can't access it even when drunk! The added bonus is when I see 'HIS' name on the dog kennel in the App! It makes me laugh.

Wait, I don't get it. Can't drunks just open up their normal Contacts list and just call instead of opening a downloaded app?

I think the intended purpose of these apps is to make the person who is drinking more responsible. The person is supposed to engage the app before he/she begins drinking in the first place.
