# A Moms View on Britney Spears ...

One of my favorite bloggers has written up a good opinion piece on what she thinks is going on with our BritBrit. Mostly, it stems around the issue of post-partum depression; you might remember that I posted about [post-partum depression and Britney](https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=snarkygossip.com)when she first shaved her head. Here’s my favorite excerpt:

**I think she parties to self-medicate**….I am surprised that no one has brought this up yet, that no one in the media who is hounding her has taken a step back to consider that she might be on the brink of something disastrous, tragic for both her and her children.

….And while I understand that Britney Spears is not everyone’s cup of tea, that to most people she’s just a spoiled celebrity who has more money than sense, I would hope that other women and other mothers are looking at her with a little bit of compassion right now, if only for the sake of those two baby boys who are innocent in all of this. She is their mother. Yeah, this is a celebrity gossip blog. And usually I write stuff that’s just a lot of fun. But yall - I had PPD after my first kiddo. Bad. And it went on for almost FIVE YEARS. Every once in a while I get a glimpse of how utterly despondent I was during that time and I shudder to think what might’ve happened. I really don’t like to think about it because it makes me sad.

Anyway, if you’re a mommy, would you hug your kids today for me? And even though we might think Britney is pretty nuts, she’s still the mom to those two little boys. **They need her to be okay. **And one day, I would love to see Britney smiling like this again:
