If your hair is blonde, add light beige highlights. If you hair is light brown, go for dark blonde streaks. For medium and dark brown hair color, place caramel brown slivers through and through. If your color is jet black, light brown highlights look more natural.

If the highlights are too dark, use a lighter shade of dye. If it’s not light enough, use more dye and wait 5 more minutes.

Highlight the parts of hair around your face first. Use small strands of hair. If you can see through the strand, then you know the strip of hair is the perfect size.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

yup..i want red highlights in my hairs but not sure either they will look good on me or not!! =(

Hmmmm...I'm confused. My brother is a master colorist and stylist and he has always told me that it's better to color hair when it's a little dirty, no products or anything, but not squeeky clean either. Not sure if there's a difference between just highlights and having full color but thought I'd throw that out there.

Giving the hair complete color is like making them dry and furious, highlighting is a better suggestion. Well I have never tried a single color ever but highlight is a good option.
