You can use [aluminum foil](https://allwomenstalk.com/household-uses-of-aluminum-foil/) to sharpen the edges of your dull scissors. Simply fold it into a square and cut it about 8 or 10 times. Viola! You’ve re-used your aluminum foil AND sharpened your scissor. Now that’s multi-tasking! ## 2. Here’s your quick fix! Add a piece of aluminum foil to the dryer next time you do a load. Make sure it’s nothing delicate though, you wouldn’t want to tear anything. ## 3. Ugh they are so nasty! Here’s a great tip for keeping the mice at bay: Crumple up a ball of aluminum foil and put it near mice holes or any openings that mice may use to enter your home. The rough, jagged edges will deter their efforts to enter! ## 4. You can also use it to clean pots and pans but not on the non-stick pans. You don’t want to scratch them up! ## 5. Brown Sugar Softener _ Photo Credit: pennacook_ When your brown sugar turns into one big hard lump, there is a way to rescue it that doesn’t include stabbing it to death with a knife! Carefully wrap the lump in a big piece of aluminum foil and place it in a pan. Put it in the oven on about 300 and check periodically to make sure it’s softening up. ## 6. But did you know you can do it again the next day? Just wash the same piece with soap and water, allow it to air dry and store it till you need it again! However, be cautioned: aluminum foil that comes into contact with raw meats should never be re-used. ## 7.
