If you don’t have many passengers in your vehicle or don’t need to haul stuff, then why waste money on an SUV? Truly, it is a waste of money. It’s a road hog. So, let’s look at 7 reasons to avoid buying a SUV … ## 7. Dangerous to Other Motorists Come on, when you get an SUV, they are dangerous to other motorists. You know, the ones that are in normal cars. People cannot see around you – you are blocking their view. This could cause a crash. This is a big reason to avoid buying a SUV. ## 6. In most cases, you will require a V8 engine. Don’t get me wrong, I love the V8 engine, but not when it’s in an SUV just so it can haul its own self around. ## 5. I forget which one it was, but this should be a good reason to avoid SUVs. ## 4. They Cost More _ Photo Credit: bongtuji_ YES, it seems that many of the high tech SUVs cost more than a normal car. I would choose a normal car over an SUV any day. ## 3. I am talking eighteen miles to the gallon, if that and that is when it has had it’s oil changed and is in good working condition. In this day and age, we can’t afford SUVs, so why try? ## 2. Does anyone else out there feel like this? I have saw so many SUV accidents and I wonder if there’s a reason behind this? ## 1. The Flip Easily _ Photo Credit: John P Sullivan_ Oh yeah, I can’t forget to include the fact that they flip easier than the normal cars. This is the number one reason why I do not want an SUV. I mean, if you get one, it’s your choice, but don’t say I didn’t warn you when you flip over.
