You Will Feel Guilty

When you lie to your partner, you are going to live life with a guilty feeling. You know, that feeling, right? It becomes hard to sleep at night and every move he or she makes, you think it is because they found out.

They Will Find out

Speaking in finding out, they will find out. It just goes without saying that when you tell a lie, it is going to come back and kick you in the butt.

The Trust Will Be Gone

When you lie to someone and the truth is officially out, it will be hard to gain that trust back. However, that does not mean that it is not possible. The partner is going to have a hard time believing you. I mean, you told them a lie before, what makes this time any different?

This is especially true if you are married. The two of you should be able to be honest with one another. You should not have a problem with telling the partner the truth. Sure, the truth may hurt, but the lie will kill. Just remember that one.

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

But sometimes it is fun to lie especially when I want to tease him.

small lies, white lies, big lies... i got most hurt when my girlfriend lied to me about things she would *never* accept me lying about. i am an open minded guy but you can hardly "assume" double standards in a relationship. it was the somewhat conscious decision of hers that lie/silence will be better than "hurting" with the truth. guess what, it ended up in a proper mess the trouble is, when someone can't even face the truth (because usually with that comes a *decision*), they don't admit to themselves that they started lying. it starts small

and it may take another lie to cover up the previous lies. you will just cant stop lying.
