5 Hot Ways to Trash the Wedding Dress ...

im getting married around october this year, and this is something I'd really want to do; we're having an intimate wedding, but id slip into something else after the ceremony, so I want to do some crazy photos in my gown, but not to the extent as to totally wreck the dress. :)

Hi Sheila. Yes I bought more dresses. But these are inexpensive dresses that I bid on an auction site. All of these dresses were $100 & under including shipping. The Maggies are beautiful. Both are Memories Collection. The DAvid's are fairly new styles and still available for sale at their website. Some are store samples and some were preowned. One Maggie was never worn due to cancelled wedding. That was sad. But it has a new home now with lots of love. I'm much better now. Taking care of myself and watching my weight closely. Those dresses inspire me to take care of myself and not to let myself go. Overall, it's a good thing. All dresses are still wearable and have not been damaged.

Hi! I googled " trash dress with paint " and found your blog. On one hand ...... I see a mural in SF that I'm dying to shoot a trash the dress session by ( using paint to trash the dress ) . On the other ..... I wonder if donating the dress is a better idea. Some of these images are so beautiful, so "trashing" is pretty tempting. I probably will end up doing a session by the mural I have my eye on. Amanda

Hwllo again Diana, We immensly liked the ideas. I showed them to my BF yesterday and he was as crazy as me about them :) Ok I'll se what I find. Thanks alot :) We're remodelling the house. We're doing electrical things at the moment and choosing the paints and floor. Busy and crazy time but I still love it. Our Dream is beginning to take life! :)

Hi everyone!!! Just to give you an update from my first post, well, it finally happened!!!! Yes, we did trash the dress so beautifully and passionately that we bought a few more. The dress was definitely NOT harmed. I made sure that my husband would not go crazy on my dress and destroy it in the process. There were a few moments where I felt him pulling on the dress so I had to stop what we're doing and reminded him of MY policy. He had no choice but to comply or else... There were a few instances that were kinda funny while we were doing it. Who would think that an innocent white wedding dress can cause harm. The wedding dress has tulle in it to keep the skirt puffy. These things are stiff and likes to retain its shape. So while my husband was down there and making his way up I heard a loud "ouch." I thought he was just trying to be funny so I didn't pay attention to it. Then he said "my eye." So I quickly sat up to find out what the heck was going on down there. Well, it turned out that the tulle had poked my husband's eye while he was down there. He said he was raising my skirt and suddenly the tulle or crinoline flipped up and hit him on one eye. These things are sharp. That killed the mood really quick. I told him go and wash his eye and lay down for awhile until the irritation disappeared. After an hour, we're back at it and this time he was very careful. In another instance, it was my turn to get sort of harmed. I was on top and being in-charge and enjoying every second of it until I got so hot and literally overheated and felt dizzy. I guess, I had the corset top laced too tight and this did not allow me to breath freely. I told him "I'm getting too hot." He misunderstood it and he said it's ok and go for it. But when I asked him to take my dress off cause I'm getting dizzy, he quickly laid me on the bed and loosened the lace on my back. After 30 minutes of rest, we're at it again and this time I finished up my work. What a night!!!! I've never experienced anything like it. It was truly unique and worth remembering. A little funny, a lot of romance and exploration and very fulfilling in the end. Since that day, we have acquired a few more wedding dresses. We have a couple of Maggie Sottero's, a PC Mary, and 2 David's Bridals. But we've only done it on one dress which is the David's Bridal, my very first wedding dress. No beading or crystals on this dress. One Maggie has a metal brooch on the side, the other one has some crystals hanging on the side; one David's Bridal has beading on the bodice with pick up skirt style; the other one has a pick up skirt but no beading on the bodice just a brooch. The PC Mary has a more traditional style. Heavy beading on the bodice and along train. So there it is. This was my "trashing the Dress."

OMG! WHY would anyone trash their wedding dress?!?!? I was so shocked when I saw the title of this article! I mean, yes I'm probably only ever going to wear it once in my life, but I still want to invest in it and make sure it's absolutely perfect! I would NEVER in a million years trash a perfect dress.

I would like to make love in my wedding dress. I have not done it and I'm not sure how my husband would react to the idea. But I think it qualifies as trashing the dress cause the dress can get messed up but definitely not destroyed. Got married in 1989 outside the country and I have never worn a wedding dress. Finally bought a pre-owned one from an auction site and when I got it, I just lost myself. I was crying like a little girl while hugging the dress. My husband saw me and he freaked out. I told him that I just fell in love with this dress and that I wish I have done this sooner while I was younger. My husband loves the dress but I have to tell him gradually, slowly about my intentions with this dress and him. But first I have to loose some pounds in the right places that way he can't refuse. Sorry no pics or videos on this one.
