Plucking your eyebrows is an acquired skill, and it will involve patience and creativity. It can make your eyes look bigger and give your face that clean, polished look. Plenty of Light
When you start plucking your eyebrows, you should make sure you have lots of light in the room. You should never attempt this beauty trick in a room that is dark! Natural sunlight is best, because then you can see all of the little hairs.

Apply an Astringent
Before you start plucking, you should apply an astringent, like witch hazel. This is to numb the brow area a bit. This way, you will not feel those tiny hairs being pulled out of your skin as much.

Trim with Manicure Scissors
Do you have eyebrow hairs that are very long? If so, then it is a good idea to trip them with manicure scissors. When you trim them, this can make a big difference. It is a good idea to trim them up a bit before you pluck them.

Brush Your Brows
Before you start, you should brush the brows into place. You should hold the skin above your brow when you start to tweeze. This will help reduce the pain.

The Tweezers
When you are plucking your brows, the tweezers are important. You should use a good pair of tweezers. You should also use a magnifying mirror and do it in bright light as I previously stated.

Upward Slanting Eyebrows
Did you know that eyebrows slanting upwards will make you look angry all the time? You need to be careful not to take off too much at the outer corners in order to avoid this.

Smoothness
If you would like both the bottoms and tops of your brows to be smooth, you should pluck the top and the bottom.

Over-Plucking
You need to take caution and make sure you do not over-pluck your eye brows. If you do over-pluck, then you can use an eyebrow pencil to fill in the holes and to make the one brow match the other.

Pull the Hair – Not the Skin
When you are tweezing your brows, it is important to make sure you tweeze the hair and not the skin. If you accidently grab the skin, it could create redness or bleeding. If redness occurs, rinse the face with cold water, then apply a cold eye mask in order to soothe the flushed skin.

Pluck below the Brow Line
It is important that you always pluck below the brow line. This way, the hair coming back will follow that natural arch of the brow.

Wash the Area
It is important to thoroughly wash the area, this way it is not oily.

Use Cotton Ball
When you are done, use a cotton ball that has been soaked in tea tree oil or witch hazel in order to soothe the plucked area.
