The Quality is Important…

Yes, the price on that ring is important, but that is not the only thing that is important. The quality of the engagement ring is also important. Everything from the band to the stone that is in it. You should always make sure that you are getting what you paid for. With that said, you should have knowledge on cut, color, clarity and carat. Those are known for being the 4 C’s of a diamond. Whenever you buy your rings from the Internet, you should always buy diamonds that have been certified.

Take the Preferences of the Girl in Mind…

When it comes to choosing out that perfect ring, you will also need to take the girls preferences into consideration. Many women out there do not like solitaire. You will need to know your girls personality in order to know what their preferences are. Feel free to ask her what she likes. Tell her that you are trying to help your friend pick a ring out and would like her opinion on it.

How Much Are You Able to Spend...

This should actually be listed as the very first one, because you will need to know how much you are able to spend before you do anything else. Of course, money should not be an important factor, but you do not want this ring to break you completely. You still have bills and don’t forget about that wedding that may be ahead in the future. How much are you able to spend on a ring? During this time, you should realize that you may be paying on not only the wedding, but the honeymoon as well. You do not want to go in debt over a ring. This should be a process that you put a lot of thought into.

Find a Jeweler That is Reputable...

You should not just choose any jeweler out there. Before you choose the place to get the ring from, you should find a jeweler that is reputable. Personally, we would never shop anywhere for something expensive when we know they may not be trustworthy. If you have never been to a jeweler and you do not know any of them that are reputable, then you could always ask for advice from your friends and family members. Take note that there are many stores on the Internet.

When one measures white gold, they will be measuring it by the same standards as they measure yellow gold. It has been treated in order to show a silver like finish to it. Besides, it matches any other jewelry as well.

Great list...10 is very important, think about what your girlfriend wears and how she likes to dress. Does she like shiny jewelry or is she a simple girl? My fiance and I went together to pick out my engagement ring...it made things a lot easier and it was romantic and nice to pick it together. But I didnt get to see the finished ring until the day he proposed on the beach!! :) Lucky girl I am! My diamond is heart shaped and it was two rings put together...it has little circle diamonds on both sides of the heart...I love it and will cherish it forever n ever! :)
