Just recently, a team of Russians decided to hold the “World’s Longest Barbecue“. Using a 335-feet long barbecue grill, pounds and pounds of charcoal, 250 skewers and 500 sausages, Russian volunteers attempted to set a record at the Novyi Bereg Yachting Club.
It’s fine and dandy to try and set a world record by holding the world’s longest barbecue - but have they thought about using anything other than a charcoal grill???
While the rest of the world is (hopefully) trying to remove their carbon footprint to reduce the effects of global warming - these people are reverting to old, environmentally unfriendly acts!
Really, have they at least thought about the number of trees cut down to make all that charcoal?
Perhaps we need to have a film showing of “An Inconvenient Truth” again in Moscow. Maybe next time, they’ll think of a ‘greener’, more environmentally-friendly way of setting a world record.
