I so love Izzie Stevens’s character in Grey’s Anatomy – but I think that her personality is way far off from the real-life image of the actress who plays the part: Katherine Heigl.
She’s been known to chain smoke, refused an Emmy nom because she thinks that her character in “Grey’s” wasn’t given the right material – and she also said that she had no desire to procreate.
According to the 29-year old actress:
“I’m done with the whole idea of having my own children. [Giving birth] doesn’t seem like any fun. I don’t think it’s necessary to go through all of that.”
Oooh-kay. So now, she’s planning to adopt a baby from Korea – maybe because adopting kids is the “in” thing right now?
Actually, there might be a ‘deeper’ reason behind it all. Katherine’s sister Meg was adopted as a baby from Korea. And now that she revealed that her oven’s not about to be some baby’s bun anytime soon – she’ll do the next best thing and adopt.
Do you think she can give up that nasty smoking habit when the baby from Korea finally arrives?

Pretty factually incorrect article which really distorts the truth. The quote is from the Knocked Up press conference – Katherine was joking about it in context of the film when being asked about her birthing scenes and the like. It is called sarcasm! Also she has said she definitely plans to start a family in the future. She didn’t refuse any Emmy nomination either – she simply didnt submit her name for consideration (the process where thousands submit their names). This happens all the time, the only reason it was a big deal was because she won an Emmy the previous year.
