What? Where?

What? Where?

What? Where?

By Sharmila Chakravorty

God! I’ve never been so clueless in life! Where am I? What am I doing here? I’m just so lost. I guess this is what happens to all kids who choose to come to Universities. The first few weeks are fun, but in a scary way! You don’t know people, you want them to like you, you want to have friends and to complicate things all the more – You don’t know how you can do all this!

I’m sure you’re smiling on that end of the computer screen, thinking ‘been there, done that’. That’s exactly why I’m writing all this here! Moral (virtual) support system, I shall call this! If you think this is weird then imagine me smiling at random people at the university, waving out to them, talking to them all in the hope of making friends… Welcome to my world!

I do the same.. I try to be nice on the elevators..talk to people, smile a lot and sometimes even open doors lol .
Sometimes it works, sometimes they look at me like I’m some type of weirdo…

[like if being nice is not cool WTF???]

Trust me…you will end up meeting people…you just have to figure out which ones you can trust. I met my best friend in college…college is tough to start out, but it will come easy…just like life! Good luck :)

The beginning is the hard part! But it gets better! It always does! :)
