4. Combination Skin …
If you skin is combination, like that of most women, the tissue will have traces of oil coming from your nose and forehead, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks.
Combination skin has patches of both dry and oily skin, and it requires different types of care in relation to particular facial areas.
Dry zones, which are usually located on the cheeks and around the eyes, should be treated with rich creams and moisturizers, while oily areas, usually on the forehead and nose, will benefit from frequent and thorough cleaning.

5. Sensitive Skin …
Sensitive skin is usually very dry, tends to feel tight, and becomes inflamed and irritated easily. Typically, sensitive skin develops reddish and scaly areas, can be itchy and tingly, and is prone to breaking into spots. It is the most problematic and fragile type of skin, which needs a very special type of care.
So, what type of skin do you have? Have you found great skin care products that work beautifully for your skin? Please do share…

Wahida,
Thanks for writing to us. I have oily skin that is prone to acne too and I know how terrible it can be. I try to get in plenty of fruits and veggies into my diet. Drink plenty of water! Wash your face with a gentle facewash 2-3 times a day. If you have tried and tested products that do not work for you, I’d suggest visiting a nearby dermatologist. You have no idea how much they can help. Trust me I know! :)
Hi Amanda :)
i really need some tips on spots, as i have oily skin i have spots on my chin, cheeks and forehead. I’m very shy around people and I’m very embarrassed and stressed out from having spots. Everybody in my year have spots that seems to disappear in 2-6 days and mine last for decades. I’m only 13 and i always feel that im meant to be going out and having fun but i don’t because i feel unconformable and when i talk to people i always think they are starring at them. Also people judge me. If i had no spots, i would be a completely different person but because i have spots i cant be the person that i want to be. This is really tough on me and i just really need them to go. I really cant take this anymore, its taking over my life!
Write back :)
Hannah.
Hey Hannah,
The good news is that spots do go away….eventually. You’re just at that age where hormones act up and acne is normal. I know socialising can be hard and uncomfortable. But don’t let acne rule your life. I would suggest getting in as many fruits and veggies as you can. Nothing cleans up your system quite like water. Find a good acne cream for you. Now because you’re so young, I wouldn’t advise you to experiment on your own. Visit a good dermatologist and he will take care of it. Remember there’s only so much you can do so you might as well have fun!
i have dry skin on my cheeks and oily also on some parts of my cheeks. i also have some scarring from acne, but its not permanant, i just dont know how to get rid of it, any help? and also i get these huge red zits, and i wash my face every night and every morning, so a little help on that too please?
Laura,
Marks are a little hard to get rid of. I’ve had some rather stubborn ones for a while. My dermatologist actually suggested chemical peeling. I started off with once a week and now I’m down to once a month. Its worked wonders on the more recent marks. As for the older ones, the best the dermatologist could do was fade them. But something’s better than nothing. As for your other query, we will have posts with acne help really soon. Keep visiting us! :)
