Beyonce Knowles says that she’s so over being a “pop star“. In an interview with Marie Claire, the Grammy-award winning, 27-year old singer said this:
I don’t wanna be a hot girl. I wanna be iconic. And I feel like I’ve accomplished a lot. I feel like I’m highly respected, which is more important than any award or any amount of records. And I feel like there comes a point when being a pop star is not enough.”
It sure looks like the 27-year old singer, who popped chart-topping hits like “Irreplaceable“, is leaning more towards film making these days.
She gained 20-pounds to play the role of singer Etta James in the upcoming “Cadillac Records“. Then, she had to shed off those pounds that she gained for the psychological thriller “Obsessed“.
Looks like the self-proclaimed workaholic is serious about shedding her pop star image. But I don’t think that she’d want to get rid of the ‘hot’ part, not really, eh?
