After losing her mother, brother and 7-year old nephew in a heartbreaking family tragedy, hundreds of mourners gathered outside the house in Chicago where Jennifer Hudson’s slain family members lived.

According to the Insider.com:

The Chicago Tribune reports the crowd sang, prayed, and held hands — some of them leaving flowers and stuffed animals outside to show their sympathy. Neighbor Doris Jones tells the paper she participated in the vigil to support the community and let Hudson know that she is praying for the Academy Award winning actress.

It’s just heartbreaking to suddenly lose three of your family members in a tragic incident like this one. Our sympathy and prayers go out to Jennifer Hudson and the rest of her family.
