Meg Ryan, Eva Mendes, Annette Bening, Debra Messing, Lisa Kudrow, Bette Midler, Carrie Fisher and Jada Pinkett-Smith. If you’re looking for a girl power movie to watch this weekend, you can’t get any better than this.
The film is entitled “The Women” with a woman also at the helm. Diane English directs the movie which is co-produced by her, Mick Jagger, Bill Johnson and Victoria Pearman.
“The Women” is based on the 1936 play of the same name by Clare Booth Luce.
The movie, says Nathan Southern of All Movie Guide:
… follows the gossip, bitchy wisecracking, and overall disillusionment that erupt among a group of socialite friends when their dearest and most envied learns of her husband’s marital infidelity at the hands of a backstabbing shopgirl. “
I caught Eva Mendes talking about the film on the Jay Leno show – and she said that there’s not one man caught on camera in this film – wouldn’t it be interesting to see how this one plays?
Catch “The Women” in theaters this September 12.

Well it’s got a great cast………Hooray to Girl Power!!!
Oh, I can’t wait for this movie to come out! I wish it was Friday already! :)
