Whoever said that age can be a factor for people to just mope around and not do anything has not heard of Olive Riley and the fact that she has touched the world. At the ripe old age of 108, before her death, Olive was considered the oldest blogger in the world and she made sure that she kept her mind fresh and that she had time to communicate with people all around the globe. Quite a feat, don’t you think?

Olive, a native of Woy Woy about 50 miles north of Sydney, Australia, began blogging in February last year. Her blog was rich of stories from her life during the two world wars (wow!), raising three children on her own (double wow!) and working as a station cook in the outback. What I love about Olive is that despite her ailing health (she complained of a cough a few days before her passing away), she still sang a happy song every single day. Talk about being happy and living without any worries in the world!

Wow, this lady is amazing! Who would have thought! And my 70 year old grandma refuses to learn to texte… I wish she had Olive’s zest for life and learning!
