It always throws me off when Louis Vuitton deviates from its monograms, but that’s not to say that I’m not admiring this classic-meets-futuristic Lambskin Rivets Bag. The ecru lambskin and calf leather trim add an elegant touch that’s balanced out by the modern, somewhat funky, gold rivets that stud the entire handbag. The bag also sports hand-sewn patchwork embroidery and a bold brass Louis Vuitton logo plate, plus stylish little zipper pulls and buckles. We could spend days debating on the merits of the continued celebrity status of Laguna Beach’s Kristin Cavallari, but frankly, I’d rather talk about the black leather tote she’s carrying. (Wouldn’t it be nice if the papparazzi would be so kind as to zoom in on designer handbags?) The bag is fairly simple and great for travelling, and I love the brilliant gold hardware, including the tiny little beads on the hanging zipper pulls.
