I must say, this photo of pop singer Christina Aguilera is one eye candy. Shot in celebration of Macy’s 150th birthday celebration, Christina embodies the famous Macy’s Flower Shows. Celebrity photographer Mark Seliger shot this one and as a photography fanatic (yes, people, I have a Nikon DSLR! Woohoo!) I am dying to know all about the photo settings and features used for this one. Doesn’t Christina look like a Russian doll here?

According to People Magazine, this Netherlands native scored the modeling contract right after she sent her photo to an agency in the hopes of earning just enough cash to buy herself more fashion magazines!

The blonde, blue-eyed, 5’10” beauty has already made it to the covers of Time Magazine, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Numero.

I do think that she’s a perfect fit for the label – with all that innocent-yet-sexy, sultry stare that she has for the cameras (which I secretly wish to imitate, lol!).

A tiny waistline, high cheekbones, good skin and a model’s strut may be all that it takes to land a modeling contract. But to be a supermodel, you need to have something more than that.

Aside from strutting your stuff on the runway, there are other ways to rake in the cash: branch out to TV ads, TV reality shows, come up with you own line of perfume or clothing – and if you have a pretty eventful life – maybe even a book deal!

Many have been on the fence about this trend, but if you haven’t embraced it yet, Fab friends, it is time to get High & Waisted. I am a fan of the high waist – it can really accentuate a woman’s figure – but I don’t like overly dramatic high waists. A more conservative version for me please. Come Spring, there’s high waists galore so hopefully you’ll find your niche. To prepare yourself, check out some bright high waists at Phillip Lim, some quirky ones at Alice + Olivia and some sporty ones a la Cynthia Rowley.

Donna Karen’s collection started out with lots of nude pieces, then red, white and blue pieces, then the red carpet gowns.

Shirts were heavily featured shirt dresses, shirt jackets and plain shirts. Halter-neck pieces were also a key feature.

This collection has a luxurious safari feel about it.

Demi Moore and Anna Wintour took in this show.

Tommy Hilfiger’s collection was much to be expected with the usual khaki, white, navy, black and stripey pieces. Trench coats, silk shift dresses, hats, open toe ankle boots and very large leather bags were all on display.

Emmy Rossum, Diane Kruger, Rosario Dawson and Michelle Rodriguez were all front row at this show.

Beyoncé Knowles already wears a lot of Armani and now she’ll be wearing his scent too. Beyoncé, who was once the inspiration for Tommy Hilfiger’s True Star fragrance will now be the face and voice of Giorgio Armani’s next women’s fragrance, Emporio Armani Diamonds. The scent will come out this fall and Beyoncé will sing a song for the perfume in addition to appearing in print and TV ads. No word yet on what the scent will smell like.

Here is a designer with some serious credentials. Ardistia New York debuted this Spring and the mastermind behind these structured, yet sweet designs is Ardistia Dwiasri. She earned a B.S. in industrial engineering and a master’s in manufacturing engineering from Northeastern University. She also has a fashion design degree from Parsons The New School of Design. After freelancing at the GAP and Ann Taylor, the Indonesian born designer worked as a technical designer for Tommy Hilfiger. Let’s just say she’s ready for her own label – and after viewing her collection – so am I.

Though her design roots are technical, she manages to create feminine but bold pieces. She adds some sneaky functional elements like zippers and buttons that create adjustable sleeves. Ardistia pieces are streamlined and sassy – I can’t wait to see more. Searle picked up the Fall collection and, interestingly, so did the ABC network for the “All My Children” wardrobe.

Lauren Bush may be most recognizable as the President’s niece or for her run as a Tommy Hilfiger model, but she’s beome a committed humanitarian, as well.
