I was shocked when I heard the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spilt rumors. While the couple are fiercely protesting media reports that they have visited divorce lawyers, their families have refused to back up their “togetherness,” and the two haven’t been seen together looking their usual loved-up selves for quite some time. It got me thinking about which celebrity couples are still going strong, and here are my top twelve!

1. Beyonce and Jay Z

They made a combined $162 million last year, 25 million people google them a year, and they look so cute together. Not to mention being together for seven years, and married for two! They don’t talk about their relationship in public, and neither is involved in dodgy nightclubs or celebrity scandals... they are just perfect! I can see a long future for these two, and they definitely deserve it!

2. David and Victoria Beckham

These two have been together for a huge twelve years and married for ten. Both David and Victoria Beckham are the ultimate style icons.  They have three gorgeous sons, and rumour has it they are trying for a girl, and they move all around the world for each other. Despite being plagued by affair rumours since 2004, they have coped well, and don’t look likely to split any time soon!

3. Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady

Apart from being one of the cutest couples around, these two have been together since 2006 and tied the knot at a small ceremony at Saint Monica last year. Neither has been married before, and they are surprisingly private and low-key. They have that contentment about them that makes it seem like they will last forever!

Breakups are hard no matter who they happen to. And while I truly empathize with each and every one of the following celebrities, let’s admit it…we all love a juicy breakup story…the how’s, the when’s, the why’s. And that’s why I’m here…to bring to you some of the greatest breakup stories of our times…some recent, some from the pages of history, some scandalous, some sad and some just plain unexpected….

Best known for: Rafello’s business scandals

The Breakup: Rafaello’s charity organisation, Follieri Foundation that funded vaccination programmes in developing countries, came under the radar of the New York State Attorney General’s Office when a cheque for a huge amount (read: $215000) bounced.

Long story short, Anne got tired of the lies and was afraid all the drama would hurt her career. So she dumped Rafaello and moved back to L.A. It’s always tragic when a love story doesn’t work out but Anne is a gorgeous woman and I have no doubt that she will find a man much more worthy of her love.

2. Blake Fielder- Amy Winehouse …

Together for: A year and a half

Best known for: Their mutual love for drugs.

The Breakup: Talk about weird and weirder. These two were strangely perfect for each other. Probably too perfect. All the drugs, the rehabs, the physical abuse simply had to come to an end sooner or later…. especially considering that Amy believed that the only thing holding them together was great sex.

3. Mel Gibson- Robyn Moore …

Together for: 28 years!

Best known for: Almost making it

The Breakup: It’s really sad that a couple cannot sort out their differences 28 years into the marriage and seven children later. The couple, who have been separated for 3 years now, signed their divorce papers one day before Good Friday this year citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the divorce.

Mel is now with Oksana Grigorieva, a 39 year old Russian singer who is also reportedly pregnant with his child. Oh well, atleast it wasn’t an ugly divorce, the most expensive in Hollywood history yes but definitely not ugly!

4. Lindsay Lohan- Samantha Ronson …

Together for: A couple of months

Best known for: Lindsay’s gay now??

The Breakup: I’m all for gays rights and relationships but somehow these two just seemed wrong together. Two troubled souls might find solace in each other for a while but eventually they’ve got to go their own separate ways. And that’s just what happened. Their ever volatile relationship ended leaving a very heartbroken Lindsay. Here’s Lindsay pouring her heart out on The Ellen Degeneres Show:

5. Jennifer Aniston- John Mayer …

Together for: About a year.

Best known for: Multiple breakups.

The Breakup: They might have had their share of “breaks” but looks like its finally over for this couple. Seems like Jen truly is unlucky in love. And it’s sad because she seems like a lovely woman. As for the breakup, sorry but there are no juicy scandals here. They just were “not right for each other”. Jen wanted commitment. John couldn’t give her what she wanted. They decided to call it quits. Simple and sad. I hope Jen can find true love someday.

6. Hayden Panettiere- Milo Ventimiglia …

Together for: About a year.

Best known for: Their age difference.

The Breakup: She’s young, loves her friends, loves to party and live it up! He’s older, mature and ummm… not so social. Put those two together and you know that it’s not going to work out ….not for long anyway.  A 12 year age difference is massive to say the very least and a definite recipe for disaster. I thought they were kinda cute together even though it was a tad bit icky that he played her uncle in the hit TV series Heroes. :D

7. Rihanna- Chris Brown …

Together for: About a year

Best known for: Pre grammy domestic violence fiasco.

The Breakup: Until recently there was much speculation about whether these two were still together after the pre grammy incident. Some sources claimed that they were simply taking a break and that Rihanna has decided to forgive Chris. I’m sorry but I don’t think I could give a second chance to someone who did this to me. Recent stories however claim that Rihanna has indeed moved on and has been seen partying all around town with her girlfriends and may even be involved with an ex boyfriend from Barbados. Good for her!

8. Bridget Moynahan- Tom Brady …

Together for: Three years

Best known for: Ex sex

The Breakup: While the breakup itself was amicable, what brings them to this list is the baby they had together AFTER the breakup. I mean here you are giving birth while the father of the child is busy frolicking around town with supermodel Gisele Bundchen. Highly uncomfortable for everyone I would think.

Tom and Gisele also apparently got married at the St. Monica Catholic Church where neither of them are parishioners but Bridget is. That’s just rude.

It seems the New England Patriots quarterback has been traveling lately, more than just with his team. Tom Brady took time to visit with his son, John Edward Thomas Moynahan this past weekend. It is being reported that Tom just “hung out” with little, 3 month old John and did a lot of changing diapers!

“Yeah, changing diapers mostly,” he told Boston radio station WEEI.

Tom Brady had a off week this week as his normal duty of quarterback. He spent it on the east and west coast! Tom was also spotted around New York visiting with girlfriend, Giselle Bundchen on Saturday! Though he had a busy off time, he enjoyed and kicked back to watch Sunday football!! I’m sure he wouldn’t miss that!

The biggest celebrity shock at this year’s Kentucky Derby was the surprise marriage of actress Brittany Murphy to her boyfriend of just a few months, screenwriter Simon Monjack.

The newlyweds showed up in Louisville after a quick trip to Las Vegas and proceeded to party with their wedding rings on at the Playboy bash Friday night. A friend told Page Six that they had wed in secret. A rep for Murphy – whose credits include “8 Mile” and “Clueless” and who has been engaged more than once before – didn’t return calls.

Also at the Playboy party was actress Rebecca Budig and her husband, former “Bachelor” Bob Guiney, as well as Tom Brady, Bobby Flay – walking around with a woman who was not his wife, Stephanie March – and Julius “Dr. J.” Erving.

Downtown at the Stereo party, Kevin Federline was not amused when organizers brought him to a table in the VIP area he deemed was too small and said, “Yo, I need a bigger table – I got six bitches with me.”

After DJ AM finished his set, Federline hi-jacked the microphone from Kid Rock. K-Fed gave “shout-outs” to hot girls in the crowd and screamed, “I got four kids already – which one of you Kentucky girls wants to have my fifth?”

He played beer pong until 5 a.m. with the Sigma Chi frat boys [from the University of Louisville] and flirted with sorority girls.”

Gisele Bundchen is counting down the seconds until her contract with Victoria’s Secret runs out so she can cash in on her new deal with H&M. Page Six sources tell us the bronzed beauty – who is always on the arm of boyfriend Tom Brady – is “negotiating a lingerie line” with the label. “Gisele has been in talks with H&M for a long time, but for legal issues she has to wait for her Victoria’s Secret contract to end to start the project.” Reps for Bundchen did not comment.

Hmmm, this is interesting. In February, Sarah noted that model Gisele Bundchen had gained 14 pounds to participate in Milan Fashion Week, due to Milan’s guidelines regarding models’ weights and BMIs. Now the blogs have picked up a story from The Sun that says Gisele is packing on weight for a different reason. No, she’s not pregnant with Tom Brady’s baby (at least that we know of yet). Gisele says she has put on 15 pounds because she stopped smoking and has rediscovered food. Apparently being able to actually taste things has given her a renewed interest in eating. I’m just curious if these are the same pounds that were previously reported.
