Nu Skin Galvanic Spa Review …

Their Promises and My Hopes:

Remember the promos of Nu Skin for Christmas that included the Galvanic Spa?

Well, I was one of those people who plunged right in and bought the new Galvanic Spa because I was so lemming for it for almost a year! Well, what is this product, anyway? Nu Skin describes it as:

Expand your home spa experience. Rejuvenate your complexion, revitalize your scalp, and refine your body with professional spa treatments—no appointment necessary. You’ve seen the results on celebrities and supermodels—but in the real world, who has time for a visit to a day spa? If you forgot a visit to a day spa because it can be time-consuming or costly, you may be missing out on the remarkable health and beauty benefits of spa treatments. Now you can bring more of the spa experience home with the patented Galvanic Spa™ System II. Small, smart, and powerful, the programmable Galvanic Spa™ II Instrument with patented self-adjusting galvanic currents and interchangeable heads—for the face, scalp, and body—works synergistically with specially formulated products to facilitate the transport of key ingredients for optimal performance. Your radiant complexion, fuller, healthier looking hair, and improved appearance will leave people wondering how you find the time.

With three heads, it could mean that you can use it for your hair (using the Nutriol treatments ), your body ( cellulites, byebye thanks to the Body Shaping Gel ) , and the face (using the pre treatment and treatment ampules ).

Well, I haven’t tried the tools for the hair and the body because I was too preoccupied with my face. I have been told that this tool does wonders, and is a must-have for travel. I have the initial ampules for the face free, and the treatment gels are described as:

Works to restore skin’s natural vibrancy by removing impurities and promoting cellular energy. When your complexion looks tired and stressed, a spa facial can provide the revitalization you need, but who has the time? Exclusive patented technology allows you to achieve spa results at home in just 10 minutes with the Galvanic Spa™ II Instrument, Face Conductor, and specially formulated facial gels. Galvanic Spa™ Pre-Treatment Facial Gel helps remove impurities so your pores can breathe while Galvanic Spa™ Treatment Facial Gel revives and invigorates tired skin by promoting cellular energy.

Wow, exactly me. Did they just describe me? I guess so. My skin has been stressed for decades ( okay, I’m exagerrating, I’m not THAT old! Hahaha! I’m barely two and a half decades old! hahaha! ) Well, it sure felt that way, so I think I needed some luxurious spa treatment at home.

I Want My 18 Year Old Face Back!

By  Chomeka Franklin

As a 30-something woman with a busy life, I know I’m not the only one that has to find time to take care of their face. It’s usually a great day if all the makeup that was applied in the AM still looks natural at the end of the day.

Since I work in what most would consider a professional environment, I have learned that you get more respect if you don’t show up for work with a bare-face. That being said, even though we all have to eat and our jobs provide for us, we still have to take care of our skin underneath. There is no way that I’m going to retire from my job with wrinkles.

By Kaylen Patterson

Life is a runway and are you runway ready? Over the years I have learned many tips from the pros and I have the ones that actually work.

First comes first… Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize! During the day, use one with SPF; at night, no SPF. SPF can clog your pores so do not sleep in it! Makes sense right?

I’m Too Old for This

By Melissa Diem

I thought my worries of acne and pimples would be over after High School. I honestly believed that I would wake up the next morning after graduation and all my teenage girl problems would disappear. I was officially an adult, even more so than when I turned 18 a few months prior. However, to my absolute dismay the occasional zits did not get the memo that they were no longer needed. Fortunately they did show up less often and didn’t come with a full army, only one or two at a time. As the years passed on the visit became less and less frequent. THANK YOU!

Does Anti-Aging Skin Care Really Work

By Teresa Anne Ng

Around the age of 35 most women start to worry about skin aging and so starts the search for the product that will help them retain their youthful looks. For most, it is a never ending quest as they find the much touted products just do not give the results we expect. I am one of those women. As I approach my 50th birthday my skin is sagging by the day and I am still searching for that miracle product that I do not have to mortgage my house in order to buy. I have been a Beauty Therapist for almost 20 years and still I buy into the media hype and end up with a drawer full of products never to be used again.

Is There Really a Solution for Stretch Marks?

No matter which body type it is that you have, stretch marks have always been a problem for women. These fine lines which mar the surface of your skin are not actually harmful, and looking for a solution to get rid of them is more of an aesthetic issue. Stretch marks can appear on the bellies of women who have just given birth – or on the buttocks, legs, thighs, breasts and arms of those who have lost weight.

Now, if you would like to get rid of stretch marks, you should know beforehand that there is actually no permanent solution for this skin condition. However, there are procedures that you can undergo and products that you can use to diminish the appearance of stretch marks. Take a look at the following list:

  • Retin-A Stretch Marks Solution

I heard from a friend that Retin-A is effective for getting rid of stretch marks, provided that the scars are still pink or reddish in color.

  • Laser Treatment

Perhaps one of the most versatile treatments in the beauty industry, there is a ‘laser’ way of performing a cosmetic procedure – and stretch marks is one of the skin problems which laser treatment can resolve.

  • Stretch Mark/Scar Removal Creams

Stretch marks are actually scars which appear as fine lines on your skin. There is a multitude of scar removal/stretch mark removal creams that you can buy over the counter.

On a final note, remember that the appearance of stretch marks depend on the elasticity of your skin. The effectiveness of these stretch mark removal treatments would still depend on each individual – so it is best to consult a dermatologist to determine which one is most suitable for you.
