I loved the first Sex and the City movie. I loved the clothes, the character development, the plot, the humor, the uh.. sex, and all the lovely shots of New York. While I think that the ending already gave us a wonderful image of where our beloved foursome was going to be for the rest of their lives, I am still pretty much excited about the sequel. If you are as excited as I am, you will enjoy these SATC2-related posts that I found while stalking some of my favorite blogs.

1. The Sidewalk Stroll

Here are the first paparazzi photos of Carrie doing the standard SATC sidewalk stroll. Doesn’t Sarah Jessica Parker look awesome? While the outfit may be too tamed for Carrie’s taste, you cannot deny the fact that the shoes are totally her taste. Those Louboutins are gorgeous!

2. Blast From the Past

This could be the scene of Carrie first arriving in New York. We can tell that she was already a fashionista even then. Let’s hope that they are able to actually make SJP look 20 years younger in these scenes. Nevertheless, it would be fun to see her quirky clothes then. And doesn’t SJP look

3. Brady is No Longer A Baby

Holy cow, Brady got big! So we can probably assume that the movie is set 5 to 6 years after the last one ended, right? I wonder if Charlotte had another baby or if Brady has a younger sibling. I wonder if Carrie and Mr. Big have their own kids now. I wonder if we’ll see cute scenes of Brady and Charlotte’s kids on a playdate. I should just stop wondering and wait for the movie to come out but I’m just too exited!

4. Get the Carrie Look for Less

Now this is probably the best of these links. If you loved Carrie’s look in the first photo of her strolling in her beloved New York, you will want to check out this under $100 version. Buy each piece, wear ‘em with Carrie attitude, and you’ll have men gawking at you as you grace a familiar sidewalk with your shiny shoes.

At the Spring 2009 Louis Vuitton collection held at the runways of Paris just recently, Marc Jacobs called the show reminiscent of a Little Parisienne princess. Which is completely and utterly brilliant.

From the obi-belted dresses and suits to the glittery sweaters and wide legged pants, there is definitely something here that every woman would die to have, unlike other collections which seems to be only suitable for the Gossip Girls or SATC cast.

What I can’t get over with is the fact that the accessories, shoes and bags are ohh-la-la! The entire collection seems to want to send a message that despite these tough times, with the recession and all – there’s even more reason to go full blast in dressing up so that we can all forget our economic woes and just focus on the oh-so-fun world of fashion.

I know so many people are looking forward to the SaTC movie this spring (myself included!) so I couldn’t NOT offer you these photos of Chris Noth and SJP! They were apparently being photographed by the fabulous Annie Leibowitz in my neck of the woods yesterday. She was in Chanel and he was hobbling right next to her with lots and lots of Louis Vuitton luggage. ‘Fess up, girls: who doesn’t fantasize about a gorgeous man whisking us off to some exotic land (or chic Paris, my favorite city!) with Louis Vuitton trunks in tow? Looking to start off an LV luggage collection of your own? Call the boutiques for their monogrammed trunks, or shop eLuxury for other luggage pieces!

Famed Sex and the City stylist, Patricia Field has played down the issue of brand endorsement in the filming of the new SATC movie. However, despite this Field did reveal to WWD that she is sure a particular shoe from Dior that Carrie wears continuously “will be on fire” (see examples above)…

It looks like the dark ‘do’ was just a wig, as these photos were taken yesterday during filming of Sex And The City Movie.

Sarah Jessica Parker is just gorgeous in this Vivienne Westwood dress and Prada shoes.

There have been reports that producers of the film are staging fake scenes and filming out of sequence to keep both fans and press guessing, and to avoid revealing too much of the plot.

This isn’t the first time producers have adopted such a technique. In 2004 the crew filmed four different endings for the TV series finale to avoid a potential spoiler alerts.

Just when you thought it was goodbye “Sex and the City” forever, we hear the news of a movie in the works. Then, we learn about a new show, based in New York, around four women, who are also to be styled by SATC wardrobe guru Patricia Field, “Cashmere Mafia.” I instantly thought: someone is trying to reinvent SATC, and I’m no so sure how I feel about that. I want to embrace the possibility but I am also a slave to SATC and believe it can never be duplicated. Emulated, yes. That is what I see here.

Now that both productions are in the works, we have the inside peek into the SATC wardrobe and the Cashmere Mafia costumes. Already, I see fabulousness – that would be the brilliance of Pat Field – but I also see similarities. It’s obvious Lucy is supposed to be the quirky one (Carrie), which doesn’t always fly, Bonnie Somerville is the powerful blonde (Samantha), and then you have the elegant brunette and token redhead. Am I being critical, or is “Cashmere Mafia” the new Fab foursome?

No need to check through your Sex and The City archives, this is not an episode that you’ve never seen before. Behold before you the very first images of the official SATC movie and if you have particularly good hearing, you should be able to hear me squealing with delight somewhere in the depths of North London…

Do any of you find yourself still mourning the end of Sex and The City? Do you continue to watch old episodes of SATC on Paramount with a hanky clenched in your fist? Do you still play the ‘how much do you know about the show’ trivia game on HBO? Or is it just me? Ah well, just in case there are some equally obsessive kindred spirits out there then you’ll be excited to know that Candace Bushnell’s fourth novel Lipstick Jungle is being filmed for television this year.

For those of you who aren’t familiar, Lipstick Jungle is similar to SATC in style and location but the women are a little older and a little more powerful. The bad news is however, that it’s screening in the states and it will be turned into a series based only on the strength of a one hour special. Nevertheless, this is written by the woman who gave us Carrie, Sam, Miranda, Charlotte, gorgeous fashion and of course New York… need I say more?

Is it a goer or isn’t it? That is the question that has been on lips of SATC fans ever since the show ended two years ago. Now it seems, once again, that a film version of the popular series is in the pipeline. According to reports, all four former cast-mates have signed on to star in the film. Feuds between the women, namely Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall were rumoured to have been the cause in delaying the film. “There has been a lot of speculation but just put it this way, I don’t want to jinx anything,” Kim Cattrall said this week. Mario Cantone, the actor behind the role of Anthony Marantino, claims to have been already written into the script. “I know it will be brilliant because Michael Patrick King is writing it. I know that I’m in it. I have a nice part in it, I’m told”. Well that would be a change from his previous role as Charlotte’s bitchy camp sidekick.
