Do you watch award shows solely to learn who wins what award? I have to admit that knowing who takes home the trophy is only about 20% of the reason why I watch award shows. The other 20% is to see the opening number while the rest is to see which stars looked great in their designer gowns and envy-inducing shoes. Here are some favorites of some bloggers I frequent.

It’s red carpet fashion time once again! We’ve skipped out on Emmy’s fashion due to the writer’s strike held last year – but this year, all our favorite Hollywood celebs are back with a vengeance!
Bright colored gowns, designer frocks and fresh-off-the-runway pieces dominated the red carpet. Here’s what we thought are the top 3 best and worst dressed femmes at the 2008 Emmy Awards.
1. Brooke Shields
The “Lipstick Jungle” star easily ruled the red carpet in this gorgeous, tiered Badgley Mischka gown. She kept her accessories at a minimum – and her hair and makeup’s perfect!

Every time you look in the magazines you see plenty of beautiful, cute, handsome celebrities. Well dressed and with lots of charm and class. They’re the celebrities we think of when we hear the word celebrities. You don’t have to be handsome or beautiful to become a celebrity though. The Screen Actor’s Guild was filled with a lot of beauties (and talented winners), but as you’ll see later, only one really horrid looking woman. Now for the Best Dressed of the SAGs, 2007.
Mariska Hargitay in Carolina Herrara
She hasn’t lost all the pregnancy weight, but we don’t care! She looks as gorgeous as ever, and this includes her hair. (I’m a poet …)
Eva Longoria in Vera Wang
I love the flouncy grey … tulle(?).
