Simon says ‘American Idol’s’ Seacrest is Gay

The innuendo has been there for weeks with Simon Cowell’s snide remarks to Ryan Seacrest on American Idol making suggestions as to Ryan’s sexuality. On Tuesday night Simon hit hard at Ryan while he was interviewing Melinda Doolittle.

Here is how it went down:

Seacrest “Stay out of my closet, Simon.” (long pause)
Cowell: “Well, come out.”
Seacrest: “This is about the Top 12, okay? Not your wishes.”

‘American Idol’ Women Show Off

The girls of American Idol continued to show that they are miles ahead of the guys. It is like watching a junior high football game one night and the NFL Playoffs the very next night when the women perform. Melinda Doolittle and LaKisha Jones continued to lead the way. I would give a slight edge to Doolittle last night. Jordin Sparks and Sabrina Sloan also gave commanding performances. Everybody’s favorite internet girl Antonella Babra improved this week and with another round of lingerie photos could advance to next week. Simon did reach out to Antonella and showed sympathy towards her and her scandal. Did anyone else laugh at Ryan Seacrest talking about a pickle on a man’s chest? What was up with the black turtle neck? Did Ryan forget it was 70 degrees today in Los Angeles?

Here is a complete rundown and Bumpshack’s ratings of all of the women from last night.

  1. Melinda Doolittle- Dr. Doolittle blew the roof off the place tonight. She is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as far as the difference in her performance and personality when not singing. Melinda makes it very easy to pull for my Tennessee home girl. Look for Melinda to be in the finals opposite LaKisha.
  2. LaKisha Jones- She sounded better singing a Whitney Houston song than Whitney Houston sounded in her prime. LaKisha probably has the best shot at winning ‘American Idol’. She has a compelling story, the fans love her and all of the judges drool when she performs.
  3. Jordin Sparks- Jordin sparked it up with a very impressive performance. She is very mature both on and off stage for a seventeen-year-old. She lists Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake as her musical idols. She reminds me of a young Chaka Khan. She will be back next week.
  4. Sabrina Sloan- Sexy Sabrina has a very toned figure and extremely curly hair which can at times distract from her voice. She gave one of the top four performances on the show last night and will be back for another week barring an upset in voting.
  5. Gina Glocksen- Da Glock did her best Evanescence imitation as the judges and most of America had been waiting on. She looked a lot more comfortable this week after looking very uptight in her formal dress last week. I am not a big fan of the style of music, but she did a good job and is a breath of fresh air.
  6. Stephanie Edwards- Steph is without a doubt talented, but she seems to get lost in the mix. She is overshadowed by Doolittle and LaKisha. I would expect for her to be back next week unless Antonella Barba surprises everyone again by making it another week. She is very classy and talented.
  7. Antonella Barba- I like this girl. I think every guy can appreciate her talent(s). Her singing was a good bit better this week as well. She also looked more comfortable on stage. The judges didn’t take too kindly to her and were sure to remind her that she is totally outmatched in this competition.
  8. Haley Scarnato- She refuses to sing anything that doesn’t sound like a Disney song. I can see Haley working at Disney World or MGM Studios singing all of these songs several times a day dressed up as a princess or Cinderella. I will be shocked if she is back next week.

Kellie Pickler shows off her Investment(s) on Idol

Kellie Pickler performed a new song she wrote last night on American Idol called ‘I Wonder’. The song was beautiful and she did a great job performing it. Check our Kellie’s website for her upcoming tour dates.

Ryan Seacrest asked her what she had bought with all of her new found wealth. Kellie replied ’shoes, lots of shoes’, but it looks like she bought the rack the shoes came on as well.

Four More get Booted from ‘American Idol’

Four more contestants on American Idol got the boot on Thursday night. Two girls and two guys exited the stage for the final time. Here is a run down of those who were voted off this week.

Nick Pedro- A good singer, but not good enough to stay with the big boys. Nick didn’t stand out, but he did a great version of a couple of old Frank Sinatra songs. Season six was Nick’s second time to be on the show. Don’t look for Idol to give him another shot next year.

A.J. Tabaldo- I believe Sanjaya should have been ousted before A.J., but I was never impressed by A.J. either. A.J. might have been too short and feminine to resonate with the American public.

Alaina Alexander- This was a shocker to me. She is hot and talented. Not the best singer but a lot better than many of the girls who remain. Her fatal flaw might have been singing a Dixie Chicks song. The American people vote for the winners of Idol unlike the Grammy Award voters. The Dixie Chicks are still very much hated across the majority of the country. That is the only explanation I can come up with for Alaina being voted off the show.

Leslie Hunt- She looked out of place without her dogs. I don’t understand how she made it to Hollywood. I am sure she is a nice girl but it looks like she is singing karaoke at a sorority party after about three drinks.

Sanjaya Malakar is totally outmatched in this competition. He can’t even find clothes to fit him. He should last one more week max. I like the kid. He just seems extremely overwhelmed by his peers and the judges.

I am glad my girl Antonella Barba gets to hang around for another week. Antonella’s BJ photos saved her this week because Alaina Alexander blew her out of the water. If a sex tape of Antonella makes the internet she could win this competition….now that would be rather humorous.

‘American Idol’ Men Rebound in Week 2

The remaining 10 men on American Idol rebounded after a dismal performance overall last week. Last night’s show had great performances from Sundance Head, Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson. Chris Sligh and Blake Lewis were a rung below those three. Lewis who dominated last week tried a quirky version of Jamiroquai’s ‘Virtual Insanity’.

.em24_s {border:solid 1px #cc9966; width:250px;} .em24_s td {font-size:12px;} .em24_q {background:#cc3333; #ce5d5a; color:#ffffff;} .em24_ai0, .em24_at0 {background:#ffffcc; border:0; border-top:1px solid #cc9966;} .em24_ai1, .em24_at1 {background:#ffffff; border:0; border-top:1px solid #cc9966;} .em24_v {background:#000000;}

Nick Pedro, A.J. Tabaldo, and Jared Cotter were average at best. Ryan Seacrest appeared to be very ‘randy’ with Tabaldo. I find it very amusing the snide remarks Simon always seems to get in regarding Seacrest’s sexuality.

The worst performance of the night belonged to seventeen year old Sanjaya Malakar who dressed like Michael Jackson and sang like Michael Jordan. He is very talented but is in over his head in this talent competition. Brandon Rogers was very weak. He wore a pink shirt and sang Cyndi Lauper’s ‘Time After Time’.

Two polls to submit your vote regarding last night’s American Idol. One above and one below:
