Press Release | AOL Hosts Third Annual Prom Fashion Show with American Idol Stylist Miles Siggins

Red Carpet No-No Courtesy of Shemar Moore

C’mon now. Is this really necessary on the red carpet, and for Reader’s Digest, no less? There’s a time and a place for everything. This is not it. Maybe Shemar should have just worn a belly shirt and cut right to the chase. Despite the muscle definition, I have to say ew.

Jennifer Lopez Shone in Marchesa

One of the top best-dressed at the 79th Annual Academy Awards was Jennifer Lopez. She shone on the red carpet even without a film to represent. Wearing a vintage Marchesa, Jen looked like a queen with gem strings adorning her chest.

Her hair was of the best as well. J Lo really looks best with a shorter style. One suggestion though is for her to put Frederick Fekkai Smooth Hair product on her tresses. No down ‘do is red-carpet ready without it.

Well, I loved Jennifer Hudson’s Jacket

I know Jennifer Hudson’s bolero was different, futuristic, shimmering, poiny and huge, but I think it was perfectly suitable to the diva’s night that was about to unfold.

She was claiming that red carpet and screaming to everyone that she. is. fabulous! Hudson doesn’t have unlimited options with a fuller figure, and this awards season she has stuck to the simple lines that hug her curves – looking fabulous but always safe. So it’s no wonder that she had Oscar de la Renta custom-make the ensemble who added something special. This was Oscars. night. people! Let us have some fun, let her have a lot of fun! We need glamour and Jennifer was the most daring and least boring starlet of the night! With her three costume changes all being so amazing, it’s almost as if winning came second (but only because that was an obvious cinch!)

My one complaint was with the pockets in the gown, because when Jen stood on the red carpet, she awkwardly tucked her hands into them. She looked nervous, which was understandable but didn’t go with the whole point or give her due credit. See a picture below.

Britney’s Quick Wardrobe Change

Britney was at Club One on Monday wearing a super-short red dress, but that’s nothing in comparison to what she left wearing. Apparently she got envious of the dancers’ little getups and tried a bikini on for herself–and then left wearing it!

According to a source, “[…] She called the dancers over to talk to them, she said, because she really liked those fishnet stockings. She just hung out with these two dancers all night and kind of befriended them. She was trying on all their outfits and left in a bikini and fishnets. That’s it.”

Despite her already questionable outfit, she had to take it up a notch. It’s like self-sabotage to get us to leave her alone. With photos like that, who wouldn’t?

Katharine’s Runway Strut for Charity

I almost couldn’t recognize Katharine McPhee when I first saw these photos of her modeling for the charity event Heart Truth in New York. It’s amazing how much red lipstick can change your look. She is sporting some envy-inducing shiny hair, but I always hate it when bodices gape like that around the bust. Imagine the side view! Sexy…or just ill-fitting?

Cate’s a 10

I was really searching for hideous outfits from the SAG Awards (much more fun!), but Cate Blanchett looks wonderful and I can’t deny it. That bronze color is sensational with her skin tone, the v-neck deep but not skanky, and her hair is perfectly styled and wonderfully smooth.

Okay, the length is the only thing that bothers me a little… but still, Cate joined the ranks of Best Dressed at SAG 2007.

What do you think of her shoes?
