The Teen Choice Awards is not exactly a haven for fabulous fashion choices. The show is so casual that wearing a designer gown will just look too funny. Can you imagine wearing a designer gown to present or accept a surf board? But this does not mean that the show is completely devoid of that glimmer of style. So presented below are 7 best dressed (in no particular order) at the recent Teen Choice Awards.

1. Ashley Greene

Floral prints? That’s is SO in right now. The print is darling and I love the bustier upper portion. The matching clutch is cute, too.

2. Cameron Diaz

So what if this wasn’t the Oscars red carpet, Cameron always gets it right. Here she is looking really lovely in her Alexander McQueen dress. Doesn’t her body look amazing?

3. Leighton Meester

This is the image of perfection. That dress, those shoes, her hair. Isn’t she just beautiful? Although I could be biased because I think red, white, and black always go well together.

4. Ashley Tisdale

Ashely wore a bustier as well. Her choice looks a bit too formal for Teen Choice Awards but look at those killer shoes! Those studded Louboutins sure make me green with envy.

5. Kristen Bell

Baggy black rompers and gold strappy heels? I smell a winner. This is a versatile look. It can take you from a casual awards show to a late lunch to painting the town red with your girl friends.

6. Abigail Breslin

Abigail looks absolutely adorable in her pink kimono dress and brown boots. This is age-appropriate and incredibly cute. Love her soft waves, too.

7. Emma Roberts

I love this Monique Lhuillier dress. Emma paired it with booties, which completed the whole look. I adore the whole outfit. But maybe she needs lessons on posing.

As for the guys, no one really stood out because they all went for the disheveled look. I remember thinking that Chace Crawford and Zac Efron look hot, though. What about you? Whose look did you like at the show? And whose made you cringe (there is always that someone who never gets it right)?

Earrings have their place, but it’s exciting when an actress raises her arm and blinds you with a shimmery cuff or bracelet. Many people neglect their arms on the red carpet, but not Amy Ryan (left), Jessica Alba (center), and Jennifer Garner (right). They all put their best arm forward, but whose Oscars bracelet wowed you the most?

My discerning eye can’t help but admire the fantastic bling the Oscars bring. Some earrings provided much shine to the stars who dared to go bold. Heidi Klum’s glamorous red and pink earrings looked like candy. Mama-to-be Cate Blanchett’s ethnic-inspired earrings framed her glowing face. Katherine Heigl’s cylindrical diamond earrings complemented her Old-Hollywood vibe. Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but which glittering Oscars earrings are most Fab?

Yay — the Oscars are actually happening! Every day I am thankful I get to dissect what celebrities are wearing, but the Oscars is like being a kid in a candy store. You know who my red-carpet favorites are — Cate Blanchett, Diane Kruger, Keira Knightley — and I love being surprised. Every year I hope for some daring choices, good or bad. Hey, at least people are taking risks right?

Ever since I saw Dolce & Gabbana’s paint-splattered ball gown I thought, “Oh my God, somebody has to wear that to the Oscars.” I doubt anyone will, but I think Penelope could pull it off. She isn’t afraid of drama and color, and with a subdued updo this would be the grandest of looks. And I couldn’t stop there — check out my Oscars red-carpet wish list!

Ever wonder how much moolah goes into those perfectly perfect Oscars red carpet looks? I do. Check out this informative article that was in USA Today that tapped into my curiosity. Linda Wells, the editor in chief of Allure magazine, provided the inside scoop into the exorbitant costs of looking red carpet fantastic.

My favorite bit was about makeup artist Scott Barnes: “whose client list includes Celine Dion, Kimora Lee Simmons, Christina Aguilera and Lopez, charges in excess of $15,000, including travel, for the big day.” $15,000 to get your make up done? Are you paying attention aspiring make up artists?

You all know my favorite Sunday night was Ms. Emily Blunt; her Calvin Klein gown spoke for itself and then all she needed was pretty, minimal jewelry and beauty to top off her look. How much do you want to bet her red carpet look was WAY less expensive than Jennifer Lopez’s over the top choice. I’m just saying, it pays to look this good but some people maybe choose to pay a little too much.
