Kirsten Dunst had a Writer Banned! Isn’t that Bitchy?
Do you think that a snaggle-toothed actress whose claim to fame is as the love interest of Spiderman – has the right to ban a writer off the set of a movie? That’s exactly what Kirsten Dunst did at the set of “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People“.
Her victim? He’s not just any writer. He’s Toby Young, a Brit son-of-a-baron/journalist whose memoir the film was based upon in the first place. It depicts the tale of his failed five-year attempt to make it in the US as a contributing editor at Vanity Fair.

Anne Hathaway Gets ‘Smart’ with Steve Carell
After seeing her in the delightful period piece “Becoming Jane”, it will be quite refreshing to see charming actress Anne Hathaway play Agent 99 in the upcoming movie “Get Smart”.
The film is an adaptation of the hit 1960’s spy TV show of the same title. Steve Carell is Anne’s co-star in the movie, whom we last saw in the films “Dan in Real Life” and “Horton Hears a Who”.
Anne says that she is a real fan of Steve’s hit TV show “The Office”. Her first thought while auditioning for the movie was to meet the actor – which she did – and got the part as a bonus.
So what else is up with the 25-year old actress? She is currently filming the romantic comedy Bride Wars with controversial star “Kate Hudson”. The film is set to be released in 2009 – and it is about two best friends who are forced to schedule their weddings on the same date. I’m sure the result is a hilarious flick about the attack of Bridezillas.
“Get Smart” is set to be released in the US and Canada on June 20th.

Should You Mess with Adam Sandler in the ‘Zohan’?
Adam Sandler’s latest starrer entitled “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” is getting mixed reviews. According to New York Times’ A.O. Scott – the movie is “The finest post-Zionist action-hairdressing sex comedy I have ever seen.”
On the other hand, Brian Lowry from Variety.com said that “Zohan is too silly to justify genuine anger. The more pressing thought as the movie drags on, rather, is an amended version of (Michael) Buffer’s signature boxing bellow, as in, “Let’s get ready to exit!”
On its first opening week, the movie already earned $38.5 million and landed the second spot in the box office charts, next to the animated movie “Kung Fu Panda”.
I guess loyal Adam Sandler fans like me did manage to find something good to watch about the movie – despite the mixed reviews. Check out the movie for yourself and see if you will find excellent – or crude humor – in Adam’s take on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
“You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” also stars John Turturo, Rob Schnieder, Emmanuelle Chiriqui, Nick Swardson and Lainie Kazan.
