It’s “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” all over again.
When we talk about feelings, why is it that men seem to have a hard time expressing themselves as compared to women? Is it because in a relationship, women have a greater emotional investment than men?

For the ladies out there who’ve ever thought the words, “This man is just not good enough for me,” I strongly suggest you read further.
There are enough women out there who have put up with men who don’t deserve them, that they have come to not remember that they deserve better. It is about time we women come together and try to change that. If we rally ourselves to set a standard approved only by and for women, then we won’t feel alone in our tough choices in men. Instead, we will feel support when we are questioning ourselves about if we are worth more than what the particular man in question can give us.
I have found that a man cannot be the primary judge of what a woman is worth. We have to rely on the understanding of our own gender if we want the true worth of who we are.

How can you tell the right husband from the wrong one. Well basically you can’t. But you can do something to get an idea of how one has been so far. You can get info from his family (which they will lie to get one to date him) or you can do a background check. I sure wish I had done that with my second husband (man, did he turn out to be a joke). He was a good husband at first. Then when our first daughter was born, he wouldn’t help too much. No changing diapers, he stayed up with her when she was colicy. He was up late at night anyway. And he changed jobs like his underwear.

Good. Now that I’ve caught your attention, I’m going to admit that I completely made up the “study”. Who knows what men think!
I do know what my thoughts are on love, life, dieting, family, parenting, wellness, home improvement, fashion, celebrities, reality shows and ladybugs. This time, I’m only going to cover the love life of one of my closest friends and her choices that made her as miserable as a model who ate the whole chicken before a very important fashion show.

So a friend and I were talking (no names) and she mentioned something to the effect of how I throw men away like garbage… which naturally made me think of an episode of Sex and The City (is this normal? lol I relate everything to that show) well anyways the episode I thought was the one Carrie ran into her ex Aiden’s ex girlfriend (crazy I know) well anyways in that show she’d read an article about her column claiming that she disposes men, like my friend claimed I do. Which further proves that I am the Carrie! but honestly I don’t feel like I dispose men although my family now don’t even bother to get names now a days. lol….but I will give myself and other women like me credit because its called STANDARDS… and I am kind of delusional when it comes to myself but I AM also aware of the fact that its not always them…. meaning sometimes it’s ME.

Hello my name is Dianna, with 2 Ns! many people get that confused and spell it wrong. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves. And if you call me Diane. I hate that name. But it’s only one of the many names I have. There’s Melba, she’s a lovely lady, proper and true. She’s a large black woman from the south. She believes whole heatedly in Christ and lives her life for him. She is always kind. Then there is Sally. Sally is a dirty little teen who does as she pleases and wants only to have fun all day long. She has no responsibilities or worries, but she can sometimes be quite mean. Her fresh tongue might cut you to the core and she’ll just walk away laughing. Don’t ask Sally if you look fat in that dress- she’ll tell you the truth. But she’s strong and honest and doesn’t take any “cr-p” from anyone. She likes to teach women how to do the same. Many woman love to hate her. She is very sexy and likes to flaunt it. Finally there is Dee Dee. She is a child-like spirit, who loves to laugh, love and dance. She falls in love at the drop of a hat and then gets her heart broken because she is quick to believe men’s lies. She is easily hurt by words and actions and would rather run and hide then fight or argue. She just wants everyone to be happy. But she is often filled with sadden because she can’t seem to find her way home.

There’s this super cute article published in Women’s Health Magazine about the top 11 things that men love in women. Geez, how are we supposed to know that men love women in their ’sweaty post-gym rawness’ – when you’re not wearing any makeup and you’re all sweaty? Anyway, the list is pretty helpful – makes you think of not trying too hard to please your man.
Which got me to thinking about the top things that women love about men. Ready or not, here’s my ten cents worth of advice.

When I was a young 20 something, men approached me on the streets with “hey georgeous!” sometimes in that bold come hither leer that only men have…At thirty, the leer became less bold… more sensual in approach. It was the slight raise of the brow upon first encounter to that softly whispered “damn girl” that becomes sunshine on a rainy day because of a perfect compliment from a total stranger…

What do you get when you combine the launch party for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 game, Tiger Woods himself, Michael Phelps, X-box, a NYC night club equipped with an all night open bar, plasma TVs featuring the game, and miniature gourmet cheese pizzas? A whole lotta testosterone! Men as I’ve never seen them before. Whether they were short, tall, handsome, unattractive, single, or attached… it didn’t seem to matter. They all carried this heightened energy of maleness that made me question if they might have actually thought they were an incarnation of King Leonidas going off to save the land of Sparta. Ok, so that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but I can’t help but wonder what it is about sports that make men feel more… manlier? Unless you are an athlete by profession, shouldn’t watching sports be for the enjoyment itself and not a reason to feel like a man? Forgive my ignorance here and enlighten me. An entire club full of men all much more interested in a trophy named after a shipping company than the few girls that mingled in the crowd…

Have you ever noticed that men seem more attracted to stupid girls? You see them approaching the ditsy women with some oh-so-stupid pick-up line like, “If I told you, you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me”?
