My best friend from high school and I recently reconnected. I learned that she was going through a divorce and since I had been there, I have found myself a source of support for her. Her incredible need to move on, to not be alone, to replace the old with the new inspired me to take a look at my dating life after divorce and to share how dating was for me, after not doing it for over nine years.

Let’s get serious. Just because you’re marrying The One, does that mean his family really becomes yours?
Yes, it does.
But, what if HE doesn’t even want to be a part of his family? To make matters worse, what if the In-Laws just aren’t getting the hint?

It seems the divorce between Hulk and Linda Hogann just gets juicer by the minute. It is hard to believe these two were actually married and lived under the same roof together. According to legal papers recently released by the press, Hulk Hogan brings in a little over $56,700 a month. You would think that would be a lot of dough right? Well think again. It seems he spends a lot more that he brings in. In fact, he spends about $47,000 more per month. But his net worth is around three million so it all evens out in the long run.

Are you 30+ and have a significant other, with no rush plans to marry? Do your friends and family think there is something wrong because you are not stressing about the ring that has not been purchased, much less have the plans for the kids that may or may never happen. Could it be that more adults are learning from each others mistakes or simply plan to take a different route and choose to live with someone “forever” instead of having to say “I do” because it is what society or grandma wants. Marriage, you think happily ever after, right. Well you are probably wrong. Marriage is a wonderful, but it is also work. My husband I have been married 2 1/2 years. We have 2 kids. I just turned 21. No one thought we would last. Yes, it has been very hard. I guess like a roller coaster. One minute you are up the next, you are down. Marriage is more than good looks. It’s about being able to talk to the other person, about understanding one another. Basically treating your partner like your best friend. I believe marriage is very hard, but if you stick together, it’s very rewarding.

We’ve all heard it before: horror stories of married couples breaking off their supposedly permanent relationships because one party had an affair.
What if you have been trying your best to make your marriage work? Is there really a foolproof way to ensure that you or your husband would not be having an affair?

Most of my days are clouded together in a fog that has not risen in a very long time. I hear talk about having a “fulfilled” life and I wonder what does that feel like. My life is good. I don’t have financial wealth, but I am happily married to a wonderful man who adores me, is kind to me and is the father of our two healthy, actively beautiful boys. We are not faced with any major financial or health issues. Continue reading ‘Motherhood’

I’ve stayed up late too many nights pondering this question. I think back to my past boyfriends. I never caught any of them cheating. Does that mean I’m just that naive or do I just pick the right guys? Almost everyone I know has been cheated on; I couldn’t be the lucky ONE that has never been with an unfaithful man, could I?

Every morning I wonder to myself, “Hmm, what should I write about today.” Since I start my day off with reading the Bible, I end up longing to write about what I read. Whether it’s the stories I read, or verses that stood out to me, to talking about doctrines in several Christian denominations. After my reading, I turn to my cup of coffee, (which I usually forget to drink while reading) take a few sips and then head to the kitchen to make breakfast.

Here’s an interesting article from WebMD, which asks whether women are better off single – and if they are loving their blessedly single status. Some people say that marriage is no magic bullet for happiness, but medical studies reveal otherwise. Continue reading ‘Are you Single and Loving it? Or not!’
