Paris is in Vienna to attend the Opera Ball, but that’s not what caught my eye. While she was signing autographs outside of the Vienna Mall, she was pelted with bits of garbage including lipstick, tissues, and cigarette packs. Despite having to leave the scene with security guards, Paris said that it’s “no big deal.” I suppose not, when you’ve already been humiliated countless times on film already. There’s nowhere to go but up, then! Way to be positive, Paris.

I almost couldn’t recognize Katharine McPhee when I first saw these photos of her modeling for the charity event Heart Truth in New York. It’s amazing how much red lipstick can change your look. She is sporting some envy-inducing shiny hair, but I always hate it when bodices gape like that around the bust. Imagine the side view! Sexy…or just ill-fitting?

I’m not sure if it’s just me, so I’m really going to need some input on this one: does Vanessa look particularly made up for watching basketball? After reading about their tiff mid-week, it looks like she’s stepping up her game after feeling threatened by someone zeroing in on her man. Vanessa usually looks casual to match Nick, but here her top, hair, and lipstick look a touch more refined. Coincidence? I’d like to imagine it’s not, even if it’s purely for gossip value.

Hmmm. Gwen Stefani has surprised me the past few days by heading out in London sans red lipstick and normally mega-styled hair. I bet she packed for warmer weather and was forced to hunt around for some warmer pieces. I’m loving the wellies, but that belt (okay, and trousers, t-shirt, perhaps blazer) has got to go.
Glossing over her heinous fashion crimes, I’m just glad to see that she’s taking a break from being so high maintenance. If Gwen was planning to escape the paparazzi, then she was slightly mistaken: you simply can’t. Ever.

We’ve been trying for years to love Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss but we just can’t get past the stiff, hard bristled applicator brush. Would it be too much to ask for an applicator that doesn’t resemble a weapon? How about just put them into a pot like the limited-edition Heather Pink from the Spring Violet Collection. That would make us happy.
In spite of the brush we hate, we still buy Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss when there’s a color we can’t live without and just apply it with our fingertip or a different brush.
Lately, we’ve been loving the Matte Stain For Lips which gives us six great colors (Cabernet, Chili, Cayenne, Candy, Desert Clay and Clay) in a creamy-matte stain that leaves lips soft and velvety.
This also looks great layered with our favorite lip gloss.
