Mommy Time

By Rhonda Twitty

As a mother we all want and should put our kids first. We certainly can’t ignore a hungry baby or a scrapped knee. But it is very important that we don’t lose our own identity in our children. We need some mommy time. To me mommy time means a night out with the girls or a day at the spa. We work very hard being moms that we sometimes forget to take care of ourselves. Remember to be better wife and mother then mommy time is vital. That saying about when mommy ain’t happy ain’t no one happy. It is true!

How Young is Too Young for a Hysterectomy?

By Denise Kenney

On September 8th, 2008 I had a hysterectomy. I am 23 years old and by the graces of God had two beautiful girls with one ovary. They are the ages of 1 year and 2 months. My dr. tells me at my check up that I have been bleeding for 8 weeks (after having my second daughter) because there is still placenta in my unterous. The nurse proceeds to tell me that this is very rare in a c-section delivery. So they are now telling me i have to go have a DNC done.

Heartaches

By Kathleen Ingraham

In the past week I have lost two comforts of my life: my job and my boyfriend. In both situations I was told that it was nothing I did wrong. The principal at my school explained to me that they were reorganizing the staff and that there wouldn’t be a position open for me. My boyfriend told me that I didn’t do anything wrong, he just didn’t feel the things a boyfriend should. But as each began to explain how I was no longer needed in their lives I couldn’t help but wonder: If I had done better could I have saved my job/boyfriend?

What to Do About the Goo

By Toni Slowinski

Everyone who has kids should be able to relate to this story. My 10 year old son goes to bed one night with this green slimy stuff that he got at his birthday party and falls asleep with it on his finger. During the night the green stuff turns liquidy and covers his sheets and his shirt to the point where I seriously thought they were ruined. What made him do that, who knows – kids are so unpredictable and do things we can never explain!

Marriage

By Jessica Nichols

Marriage, you think happily ever after, right. Well you are probably wrong. Marriage is a wonderful, but it is also work. My husband I have been married 2 1/2 years. We have 2 kids. I just turned 21. No one thought we would last. Yes, it has been very hard. I guess like a roller coaster. One minute you are up the next, you are down. Marriage is more than good looks. It’s about being able to talk to the other person, about understanding one another. Basically treating your partner like your best friend. I believe marriage is very hard, but if you stick together, it’s very rewarding.
