“A clash of historical eras, a fantasy of theatrics and thoroughly modern technical skills.” – that’s the classic John Galliano look as described by NY Fashion. And the Brit seems determined to teach us a thing or two about history.

At the John Galliano Spring 2009 collection held at the runways of Paris, historical bearskin hats mixed with lovely evening dresses, colorful suits and wearable but sheer frocks.

The doll-ish hair and makeup of the models did not distract from the fact that the clothes are the center of attention here – and there’s not a designer that can pull off the Galliano look than, well, John Galliano.

My favorite part of the runway show was the evening wear collection – where an exquisitely long column gown in a lovely color was showcased. There is also the shockingly sheer yet romantically sexy flowing blue gown that I’m sure any party girl worth her salt would die to have.
