If you’re looking for a nice gift that does good too, take a peek on the Lola Rose jewellery site. This small range of pink pieces donate 20 per cent of sales to the Breast Cancer Campaign. As you can see below I”ve been perusing this fluffy pink website (see soy candle blog), and I came across these pendants. At £50 they make a substantial little present, and a substantial donation to a good cause. Lola Rose is an interesting company, started in 2000 by Nicola Gerwitz who is its sole creator and designer. She gave up her day job as a personal assistant after feeling “unfulfilled”. The pendants are officially launched in June, but you can make a pre-order purchase on the website. They also have pink bracelets to match.

Hand-weaving is the way forward
People Tree are offering 10% off selected hand-woven and hand-embroidered pieces until 17th June, to celebrate the start of London Sustainability Weeks on 3rd June. Hand-weaving fabric and hand-embroidering clothing affords the possibility for more work amongst communities where low employment runs rife.

Although, you could end up looking like a skater boy, which is ok if you are, but if you are a middle aged accountant, who usually goes for prim and pristine, you might not look quite so cool.

Fair trade sari bag
A girl can never have enough shoes or hand-bags, or so the old saying goes. How true it is I have no idea, it sounds like an old 1950’s marketing campaign to me. If you look hard enough you can find some really individual and pretty unique bags that are fair trade too.
