The folks at Jimmy Choo may call this the smaller version of the Jimmy Choo Maddy, but don’t let that alarm you. There’s plenty of room for your goods and then some in this bag. And just because it’s “small” don’t let that confuse you with light. This purse is among the heaviest on the market right now thanks to its suede lining, something that Jimmy Choo has yet to let go in their handbag collection. While the idea is luxurious, the notion of carrying around a bag in a bag is ludicrous, and has made a few other houses resort to heavy linen and cotton for their interior linings. What is it with Paris Hilton and ugly tights? Her stripey fishnets ruin a cute (for her) black and white houndstooth mini dress, though I am kind of digging the sparkly gold leather purse she’s carrying. It’s perfectly Paris – flashy, spotlight-stealing, and ultra-trendy. The boxy bag features matching gold hardware and a hanging gold chain, plus braided leather handles. Can you name the designer?

You can take the girl out of Pete Doherty’s arms, but you can’t take the Pete Doherty out of her style. Kate Moss was looking mighty scruffy as she headed off for a holiday getaway, but her oversized black handbag did catch my eye. The slick leather is tres hip, and the bag’s jumbo size makes it perfect for traveling (especially if your clothes are all tiny size zeros, like Kate). I’m not feeling the unkempt outfit, but I could definitely get used to this purse.

*Sigh* Oh, I know that I am not the only one swooning and waiting like a rabid fan for the fashion lovers film of the year, Sex and the City: The Movie. Until Spring comes, we will all have to be pacified by our favorite character’s fashion stills. Corto Moltedo isn’t known for being low-key – in fact, most of the bags churned out by this line are quite the opposite. Case in point: This crazy Metallic Cowgirl Bag. The words “metallic” and “cowgirl” should never be used in the same sentence, and this is exactly why. You end up with bold colored topstitching, enormous horseshoes and silver leather. That’s not a pretty combo, folks. At the same time, this isn’t exactly hideous either. It’s just not up to snuff with what I’d consider a designer purse.

Designer Purse Deal: Balenciaga Twiggy Bag
The Balenciaga Twiggy Bag, equally as loved as it’s siblings, (to name a few) the First, Shoulder, City, Work, or Day and even shares the similar motorcycle tassel details and signature distressed goat leather with antiqued brass hardware, but what this bag has that the others lack is the long east-west style tubular duffle-like shape. It’s great for an everyday bag, but of course what Balenciaga bag isn’t?!

No. Just NO.

Are there even words to describe the hideousness of this Coach Miranda Printed Python Satchel? While the design is a wonderful nod to the rounded, ladylike shapes and proportions of handbag eras past, the decision of the Coach design team to inflict this horrible color and pattern onto their consumers is just unacceptable. Is it just me, or does that handbag looks like it’s made of python regurgitate… had the poor reptile been on an acid trip? Perhaps the design team were trippin’ themselves, to offer the pattern in not one, not two but THREE heinous python-printed colors. And the final insult? The $1,200 price tag.
