Good. Now that I’ve caught your attention, I’m going to admit that I completely made up the “study”. Who knows what men think!
I do know what my thoughts are on love, life, dieting, family, parenting, wellness, home improvement, fashion, celebrities, reality shows and ladybugs. This time, I’m only going to cover the love life of one of my closest friends and her choices that made her as miserable as a model who ate the whole chicken before a very important fashion show.

Ok, here’s the deal. I am a thirty five year old mother and wife. My son is ten years old and has just started the 5th grade. My husband is a great guy. I have been a professional most of my life, I have worked since the age of sixteen. About a year and a half ago I needed to stop working due to some serious family issues. This has worked out great in every area except one, that would be the vitality of our bank account. To be honest it’s almost dead.

According to US health officials, this year’s flu vaccine will be more readily available unlike last year’s shortage. Approximately 146 million does will be available.
They also say that this year’s shot will destroy more of the various strains that have recently developed. There are three new strains lurking around this year, according to the CDC.

Bathing suits are replaced with jeans, sun tan lotion is tossed aside until next year, and the kids are back in school. While many residents love this time of year with less people and beautiful sunsets, many moms and dads struggle with trying to get everything done in the day.
While working and managing households, many parents are juggling getting multiple children to after school activities – football, cheer leading, and band practice- and maintaining order in their households. Many moms get up at the crack of dawn to make breakfast, fix lunches, clean their house, then drive their children to their friend’s houses, only to start it all over again the next day.

I am a 32 year old new mother who is about to make a decision most women in the US are faced with. Do I go back to work or stay at home with my son or find something in between? It’s a cross road in the middle of a woman’s life that potentially shapes her future (her self, her family, her career, her lifestyle). For me, facing the decision is both liberating and paralyzing at the same time. I feel liberated by the fact that my husband and I are financially secure enough to be in a position where I am able to make this decision. I am sensitive to the fact that in today’s economy this is not a choice at all for some women. I also feel liberated because a decision to stay home with my son and be a full time mom will allow me to do almost anything I set my mind to.

Hello everyone. My name is Lynn and I am the mother of two beautiful daughters ages eight and three. My eight year old recently came to me with the desire to play softball. So, one day after school I took her up to the local park get some information on try outs. Much to my surprise there were no try outs. All she had to do was sign up. No one knew what her strengths and weaknesses were so how were they supposed to know what position to play her at? Well, she wanted to play so I signed her up.

Everyone who has kids should be able to relate to this story. My 10 year old son goes to bed one night with this green slimy stuff that he got at his birthday party and falls asleep with it on his finger. During the night the green stuff turns liquidy and covers his sheets and his shirt to the point where I seriously thought they were ruined. What made him do that, who knows – kids are so unpredictable and do things we can never explain!

Last night one if my ten year old twins told me that he noticed a new number when he was going through my cell phone. I stood there in shock and dread hit me like a cannonball in the gut. I realized that I am raising my children to think that it’s normal for a mother not to have an “opposite sex relationship” outside of being a good mother. His tone and demeanor suggested that I was in trouble for having a male name in my phone. Where is the boundary between mothering and answering to that inner woman? Why is it that some of us feel like we are bad mothers for wanting to date sometimes? I asked a few parents and the response I got was encouraging and fair. There has to be an understanding with children that they are always first and will continue to be, but mom or dad will have to have time for other adults.

Marriage, you think happily ever after, right. Well you are probably wrong. Marriage is a wonderful, but it is also work. My husband I have been married 2 1/2 years. We have 2 kids. I just turned 21. No one thought we would last. Yes, it has been very hard. I guess like a roller coaster. One minute you are up the next, you are down. Marriage is more than good looks. It’s about being able to talk to the other person, about understanding one another. Basically treating your partner like your best friend. I believe marriage is very hard, but if you stick together, it’s very rewarding.
