REVIEW: Aussie Moist Shampoo

REVIEW: Aussie Moist Shampoo

After reading Shannon’s review of her Aussie hair product purchases (and praise) which follows my past review (and praise), I decided to purchase a much needed shampoo. Though I officially love the Abba Shampoo that I previously wrote about, the price + the quick need to repurchase lead me to reconsider.

So Aussie Moist Shampoo for dry, damaged hair it is.

Upon looking for this, I actually went to several drugstores to try to find the shampoo only to find out that it is only in the mega 16 oz size. For only under $4, I was pleasantly surprised.  I actually was looking for the more normal 8 oz, thinking this was a volume mega size. Nope, this was it.

So off I go to shampoo away, to realize that upon dispensing, I actually think I bought the wrong thing. Did I buy the conditioner by mistake? With shampoo in eyes, I check the shampoo, not once, but twice to make sure.  Why? Because the shampoo is so creamy, it actually feels like rich conditioner. Did I make a mistake? Very much like Abba’s experience, but if you can believe it, this stuff is even creamier. It lathers great, but not much which I like. Upon rinsing, my hair feels almost straw like. Huh? Well, they say squeaky clean is not what to go for when you shampoo, but my hair almost feels dried out, even when wet if that’s possible. My heart sinks, but I continue with my normal conditioner and await the results. Hmm, my hair does feel thicker though, but I could be just day dreaming….

Next morning, hair is fine, but I gotta warn you. If you have colored hair, your color will be almost gone. Mine was. Even the color from 2 color sessions ago. Sigh. I’m now using this as a body wash.
