I almost want to utter a prayer for the death of Victoria Beckham’s sleek, famous, Posh bob or “Pob” that she has constantly been sporting for all the paparazzi to see.

At the Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week in New York where Marc Jacobs‘ Spring’09 collection was presented, Mrs. Beckham was photographed with JLo minus her dark brown Pob.

She had her hair darkened and shortened to a Liza-Minneli-like cut.

Explaining the radical new look, Beckham told The Daily Telegraph:

You know, I just like to change things up. I get bored very, very quickly and I just fancied a change.

The Pob is one of the most requested looks in hair salons in the UK – which just goes to show how influential her fashion and even her hairstyle is. Will women across the UK and the US also have their hair cropped up to mimic Vicky’s new hairstyle?
