If you’re a fan of Russell Brand’s well – brand of humor – you’ll be glad to know that he is currently in talks to star alongside Johnny Depp of the popular film franchise “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
Marie Claire UK reports that £5million is the initial offer for the 33-year old comedian. Russell is supposed to play Johnny Depp’s brother Jonathan. If you’ll remember, Russell was recently in hot waters because of a falling out with BBC. He resigned from his Radio 2 show due to prank calls to actor Andrew Sachs.
A source told The Sun: ‘There couldn’t be a role more perfectly suited. There’s a lot of Jack Sparrow in his mannerisms and behaviour. Depp’s accent isn’t a million miles away from Russell’s either.
So how will he fit alongside Johnny Depp as the pirate, Russell as the brother and Keith Richards as their dad? What do you think? With that hair, the beard and the accent – he’ll fit right in!

Gah … ! I seriously hope not! Yes, he’d fit in regarding looks (ish) and maybe accent (if you are talking about the Jack Sparrow accent) but endearing he isn’t!
Die hard Johnny Depp fan as I am, I might have to boycott the movie.
I think he would fit in because he has the look and act without even getting into character like Johnny Depp…but thats the difference…this guy is not normal! He acts like that in real life! I don’t like him and I think he would ruin the movie! I hope the producers are reading these comments!
You know you will have to get over what he said on BBC we here in the USA .Say more stuff on the radio that is so crazy like Howard stern that guy is really out there .And I heard what Russell said on the radio though the Enter.Net and it was far from being .Out there. Haven’t you said some thing that you wished you didn’t say I sure have it’s in the past already so let it go. And go on with you life and yes I would see all Russell Brand movies. He is great for the pirates movie. And with the way It’s going crazy over here and the world is turned up side down we need some thing to make us laugh.
