Peanut Butter Facts

Peanut butter is one of the kids’ favourites when it comes to bread spread because of its sweet taste. Peanut butter was also known as peanut paste, was first produced in Australia by Edward Halsey for Sanitarium Health Food Company on May 29, 1899. Peanut butter is rich in monounsaturated fats and resveratrol - an antioxidant found in the skin of a plant. It also contains protein, vitamins B3 and E, magnesium, folate, dietary fiber and arginine. Though it is full of nutrients, there are people who are allergic to it and it can cause reactions including anaphylactic shock. It can be used in cooking and making sandwiches. But lately, it has become even more useful. It can now be used in kitchen or household to remove gum in the carpet. Simply rub a small amount of peanut butter into fibres and wipe it up with a cloth and you’re done.
