1

Create a Timetable

One of the first things you should do if you want to learn how to create good study habits is to create a timetable that will help you budget your time wisely, so you will make sure that you cover all the topics you need to study for a specific exam. Learn how to be more organized when you study! Also, don’t forget to schedule some breaks, so you’ll have enough time to rest and assimilate that knowledge you’ve acquired during your study period.

2

Study in 20-50 Minutes Chunks

A lot of studies have shown that in order to get the best results, you should study in 20-50 minutes chunks. Make sure you take 5-10 minutes breaks after each study period and do whatever you like, something that will relax you and help you feel recharged, so you can get back to studying in a good mood.

3

Find a Good Study Spot

Always look for a good study spot that will help you concentrate on the things you have to learn and try to eliminate all the distractions from that environment. Make sure that spot makes you feel comfortable, yet not too comfortable, because I’m sure you wouldn’t want to fall asleep. Make sure you study in a clean, organized and quiet room, and if you don’t have such a thing in your house, you could try going to a public library.

4

Learn the Most Difficult Things First

Even if you don’t like it and you would prefer to start with something else that interests you more, try to take care of the difficult things first and learn the most important facts at the beginning of your study period during that day. This way, you will have the chance to repeat that new information you’ve acquired and you will be less likely to forget it. Also, by learning those facts when you are rested, you will assimilate them more quickly and you will also understand them without stressing yourself too much.

5

Take Notes

Always take notes when you are studying, whether you do it in class when your teacher is explaining something or even if you do it at home when you are learning that material. By doing this, you will memorize that new information much more quickly, you will understand it better and you will have the possibility to revise those notes later before the exam.

Famous Quotes

To give oneself earnestly to the duties due to men, and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom.

6

Get Enough Sleep

When you are studying for your exams and you want to make sure that you pass them with flying colors, make sure you get enough sleep at night. Even if you think that by sleeping for 3-4 hours every nigh you will be able to learn more, I must tell you that you are wrong because you will be tired and you will require a longer period of time to assimilate that new information. Thus, you will learn less than you would normally do, if you would get enough sleep.

7

Set up a Study Group

If you want to learn how to study in a more efficient way, you could set up a study group that will allow you to share notes, thoughts and ideas that will help you better understand the material you have to learn for your exams. You will be able to organize different debates and you will get help from your colleagues if you don’t understand something. Why not give it a try and see for yourself how many wonderful benefits this study method can bring you?

There are a lot of very efficient ways to study for the exams. I just mentioned a few in this little article but I’m sure there are many more I didn’t talk about. So, can you give me a hand and tell me how do you study? Do you know any other useful tips on how to create good study habits? Please tell us about them in the comments section!
