MySpace Boosts Topshop Website

MySpace has helped to boost visitor figures to Topshop's website.

According to a new report, five per cent of Topshop's website traffic was driven by its MySpace profile, five times more than a year ago.

Despite a plethora of fashion social networking sites popping up each week, Topshop has found its secret weapon in MySpace.

"Other British fashion stores have MySpace profiles but have not experienced the same levels of referred traffic," said Biz Report's Helen Leggatt. Topshop's MySpace profile presents itself as a 24 year-old female looking for networking and friends but doesn't want kids.

It's ironic then that the only people who can actually afford Topshop these days is cashed up kids with daddy's credit card.
