Nooo! his mascare is awesome! As good as any of the fancier, more expensive ones! it never runs or gets clumpy on me. However, I NEVER understood the all experts' advice on how to apply mascaras. Their advice sucks! "Start from the base of lashes and move in a zig-zag motion". That works on VERY few people. Ok, so it was the trend in the 70ies on Farrah Fawcett etc and it looked kind of cool at the time, I guess. Nowadays I'd say Jennifer Connely can get away with that thick somewhat clumpy look. Because applying mascare like this DOES make it clumpy and makes it look fake! I'd say, if you want the dramatic look, use fauz lashes (there are so many different types, you don't have to pick the craziest ones!) or learn how to apply mascare in the correct way. Which is: Start by using the tip of the brush at the TOP of the outer lashes as to create a cat-look, just be very light on the hand. Then use the tip in the same way on the upper third part of the lashes on all of them. Now your lashes should look long and feathery. If you after that (I always stop here) want them darker and more visible brush from root to top with the whole brush, but lightly and with NO zig-zag motions. Try this! gives the longest lashes!

I totally agree with this review!! One time I went out of town and forgot my mascara. I happened to remember when I was standing in a Target check out lane and saw this mascara, remembering it's highly rated in a lot of places. I bought it and had the same experience--clumbs, smudges, stuck together lashes and a severe case of disappointment!

Why IS this number one??
