Love ‘em or hate ‘em – there’s no doubt that the Olsen sisters have grown up to be a fashion-conscious pair. Just recently, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have launched their jewelry collection.

The collection is under their successful Elizabeth and James line – and the twins worked on over 80 designs with jewelry designer Robert Lee Morris.

Now, the funkily fashionable twins have joined forces with Steve Madden Ltd. to create a line of shoes – still under the Elizabeth and James line.

Here’s what Ashley had to say about the new shoe collection, according to People.com:

Mary-Kate and I found Steve Madden to truly understand our design philosophy, and how we want this brand to grow over the coming years,” Ashley told the press. “They have the resources and talent to help execute our vision for the Elizabeth and James brand.”

Uhmm – I think the line will be geared more towards the tween and young adult market. After all, we have seen the twins in their paparazzi pics wearing sky-high gladiator sandals and trendy peep-toe booties.

It’ll be interesting to see what shoe designs they will include in their collection.
