Three C batteries will give you 1500 of dramatic, bright lighting courtesy of these Lumin LED lamps. Each one is an 8" acrylic and brushed stainless steel cylinder with a coloured light in Crystal White, Rouge Red, Ocean Blue and (currently being re-stocked) Violet. Not quite 2" across they provide portable, compact but probably not particularly subtle lighting for any room. £35 each from Home Temptations.
