Sir Philip Green owner of TopShop is lining up Kate Moss to launch Topshop in New York.

Green believes her presence in Manhattan will boost the profile of the opening event.

While Kate's next collection will hit stores in March, the New York opening is unlikely to take place until September during New York's Spring 2009 Fashion Week.
