It’s not so good to be the king, after all. Jonathan Rhys Meyers, 29, who plays King Henry VIII in Showtime’s The Tudors, has checked into rehab.
In a statement to Usmagazine.com a Meyers rep says, “After a non-stop succession of filming Jonathan Rhys Meyers has entered an alcohol treatment program. He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery. Jonathan plans to resume his schedule following completion.”
