It seems like fans can’t get enough of admittedly-dirty-yet-sexy pirate Jack Sparrow. According to Marie Claire UK, hunky Johnny Depp has agreed to star in the fourth installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film franchise.
Ever wondered who Johnny’s inspiration behind the character is? It’s none other than Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones.
All in all, the “Pirates” film franchise has earned $2.6 billion at the tills. Apparently, Disney’s hoping to cash in Johnny’s box office pull because they also asked Johnny to star as the Mad Hatter in “Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland“. The film will be directed by Tim Burton – who is one of Johnny’s fave directors – and the film is set to be released in 2010.
As Jack Sparrow himself said “Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate”. It comes in one Hollywood actor name, too – and that’s Johnny Depp.
