Jennifer Hudson doesn’t seem to mind having her cheap dress on the “Spotlight”. When she posed for the cover of her new album, the 26-year old American Idol alum and Oscar winner (!) wore a $36 glitter-striped American Apparel dress.
Despite the simple, chic yet affordable dress - you can’t say that Jennifer did not learn anything from her stint as Carrie’s assistant in “Sex and the City”. She paired the $36 dress with a really chic LAI Vamp belt which costs a hefty $475! The effect, as you can see from the picture, is simply fab!
Despite having worn designer frocks from Oscar dela Renta and Donna Karan, Jennifer reveals that she is a bargain hunter, and she’s obsessed with items from British chain Topshop.
This just goes to show that you can still have that Hollywood glam even if you’re wearing a dress which costs less than $100 - just pair it with the right accessories and a whole lotta attitude!
