Tara,
Technology is amazing really! I am one of those who wouldn't want to ever consider surgery in order to alter my looks. But procedures like Smartlipo sound relatively less crazy and not as invasive. Thanks for sharing that! And good luck with the loose skin on your arms :)

I have to say that after joining a gym and losing 45 pounds in 7 months, and working out faithfully, there is a drawback with leftover skin.I had the leftover baby fat on my stomach in which had lost the elasticity. There was no way to get that tightned up.I went and had smartlipo done.It really does wonders. You're not put under the knife.I didn't even have to take anything. Now don't confuse liposuction with smartlipo.A big difference between the two.And the down time is minimal. But I do have loose skin on my arms and on the sides under my arms.I was getting a bit confused as to why I can't get that tightend up.But after reading on here that you have to keep working at it.I know I can get those other smaller areas toned up.

to Ashley:

I know how hard it might be sometimes to find time for exercises, but please try to find about 15 minutes a day and you'll see a great improvement in a very short time. What I used to do when I didn't have much time, I'd exercise while watching my fav TV show late at night... Of course it's not the best time, but it's better than nothing :)

Good luck to you, dear Ashley!

to Manny:

I wouldn't call it losing weight fast - those guys are working their butts off for weeks and weeks... And if you do the same amount of exercise and have a good diet with it, you'll too lose the weight without getting flabby skin. No worries :)

Hi, I have a question about flabby skin. If the cause of flabby skin is losing the weight quickly then how come the people on the show the Biggest Loser look well. They dont have flabby skin? Whats up with that. I am also looking to loose weight but i am concerned about flabby skin.

to Haze:

Hmm... Maybe you lost some weight very fast and the skin on your tummy didn't have time to catch up? If so, it will in a couple of months. Meanwhile, I'd suggest you massage your stomach, moisturize it well (some organic body oil could be great for this) and keep doing crunches.

I am just 15 and I am on a health diet and i have tried to lose weight. I think I'm at a good weight now. But Everytime I eat my stomach looks really big. And when I sit down it rolls up and I look really fat. When I stand up I look hot though... I've also been doing alot of crunches and leg lifts (ab exorcizes) and it's made my stomachlook bigger! My stomach feels really hard when I hit it, but when I sit down i still get the rolls. What am I supposed to do? :( Pleeease help me.

I'm 29 years old. I have been overweight pretty much my whole life.
My highest weight was 310. I had my gall bladder removed due to gall stones about 4 years or so ago I think it was? The doctor that did my surgery was so concerned about my weight that he sent me to consider gastric bypass surgery. After checking into it and doing an orientation for it, I decided against it.
However, it did open my eyes that I needed to lose weight. Within a few weeks, I started taking some diet pills. I lost a total of 60 lbs over the next year and then quick taking the pills. I started taking them back about a year later and lost another 20 lbs.
I lost a total of 80 lbs and went down to 229 lbs.
I have gained 13 lbs back over the last few months because I'm 8 months pregnant.
I'm not worried about my skin getting stretched out due to my pregnany because I already have so much loose skin from all the previous weight loss! So basically, the baby is just filling out all the skin that's already still there.
I'm wishing that I had not lost that 80 lbs so quickly. I have no doubt that was one main reason I have so much skin left.
I worry about how bad and saggy it looks. I'm also worried that when I start losing more weight after the baby is born, that it will only get worse.
Following the birth of our baby, I am planning to go back on a diet. But I'm planning to do it right this time. Without any diet pills. I'm going to eat healthy and excersize regularly, every week. Hopefully I will still lose weight but in a healthier way and at a better, slower pace.

I'm hoping this will help prevent anymore loose skin.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a healthy smart way of losing weight and preventing anymore loose skin? And/or how to help tighten the loose skin that I already have after my 80 lbs weight lost?

Hi guys,
Here's what I know, limited although it is: A friend of mine lost 64 pounds by becoming a body builder. One of the big things she did, besides the gym, was us Max Muscle products which can be very expensive. I know this because I have looked into them myself for my 80lb weight loss. She was doing the body building and supplements at the same time but I do know that the supplements help even if you lost the weight first. At least that is what my friend has told me.
I, on the other hand, don't want to be a body builder; I think it looks gross. I have been using a technique called "Oxycise" and it is helping me tone up. I CANNOT tell you about long term results with saggy skin because I have only been doing it for about a month now. I do know I have more stamina and a little bit more muscle. It might be something to look into on their website.
I have also heard about excess fat being under the loose skin and haven't been able to find the website I read a couple of years ago about it.
If I find it again, I will let you know.

I have a 2 1/2 yr old son and twin 4 month old girls. My pregnancy with my son was uneventful and I lost all the weight and tightened back up in no time, so that I was back into size 4 jeans, no problem. But when it comes to a twin pregnancy, obviously that is different. I started out at 125lbs and was 163 at the highest point (6 1/2 months) and then dropped down to 155 before I had the girls at 7 months pregnant. So now everyone is good and healthy at 4 months old. I am down to 137, not that far from my goal weight but I def have some skin issues. I have some intense muscle seperation, and some loose skin. My stretch marks aren't that bad at all, but Im def worried about how I can fix my ab muscles so I don't continue to look 3 months pregnant the rest of my life.

I had 2 babies an gained 70lbs with each pregnancy I'm naturally 5,3 110lbs. Breastfeeeding took all the weight off. By the time it was 6 weeks post pardom I was very close to original weight. My skin was loose and stretched. I started tanning every other day with firming lotions. Example: Sally's beauty supply carry's this exspesso lotion. Or you can pay $50 for the designer skin at your local tanning salon. When I would shower I would take the morning coffee grounds and massage it into my but thighs and stomache. I have no stratch marks and my skin doesnot leave evidence of having a 9 pound baby 6 months ago. If you don't like dealing with that mess buy a firming lotion with caffeine in it I've seen them at bath and body works. Don't use while your pregnant though. That will give you stretch marks. I used it on my butt when I was pregnant with my first child and had stretch marks. They dissapeared with mederma.

At the top of this page it talks about oxygen and then there is no way to get to the rest of the article. I want to know more about oxygen and weigh loss and skin tightening.
And...who answers these questions if anyone in particular?

Hi, I have had the up and down sendrome for many years from 138 lbs and more, back to 110 lbs, I'm 5-3 and short waisted never has been real thight. I'm fair and always had soft skin. I've always had pretty much exercise in my life. This time I lost 26 lbs and exercise doing it in one year but the skin is really stretched out I can pull the skin and it kind of sticks out for a sec. Yuk! been training at Golds gym the guys don't know much about skin. What creams can I use? I eat pretty great, fruits, not much red meat, hardly any bread, and cook with olive oil. I drink at least 6 glasses of water a day but I wonder if splenda is the culprit too and got rid of most of my bad habits. Help I', 51 and frustrated.
