I don’t know about this particular cut, but I am sure thick sexy bangs will look awesome on you! (think Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston – those pretty girls also have heart-shaped faces and they look stunning with long hair and bangs!). I know the idea of getting a haircut is exciting, it feels as if you get your hair cut, you’ll feel and look like a whole new person. But the truth is, the change doesn’t always turn out to be for better. And if you had your long hair for a while, you’ll so miss it…

I myself bought into this idea once, when I was 16, I thought a cool bob will make me look gorgeous and I chopped off my back then long and shiny hair. It didn’t look that good, and I actually looked even worse than before – just like every other girl… I never managed to grow my hair back as thick and long as it was (I am 27 now and I am working hard on it, I mean, I don’t allow stylists to cut off more than just a tiny bit, to avoid split ends and I spend tones of money on Kerastase to get half the shiny and soft texture I used to have…). But that’s my story, anyway…

I think it’s great you still have long hair and you should really enjoy it, cause I don’t think you’ll be wearing long hair later on in your life, you still got time for bobs. But if you really want to impress your man with the new you, do get bangs, get your hair done in a salon and, if you wish, get your hair colored to a different shade that suits you, you know, to spice things up :) I don’t talk about radical changes, but maybe something a bit bolder, if you are a brunette, for instance, ask for deep chocolate, it will give your hair beautiful chestnutie-chocolatie nuances.

And most importantly, go to a very good salon, I don’t know where you are located, but if by any chance you have a Dessange Salon somewhere near you (you can Google it and find a salon that’s closest to you), do get an appointment there (those stylists are all French, gay and fantastic!) , they’ll make your hair look extra fabulous and your man will be blown away! :)

I hear you! I too have curly and sometimes a bit frizzy hair and I couldn’t do anything with it, except have it done in a salon every now and then. Until my new hair stylist (God bless that girl) said that I should get a set of hair rollers (flexi-rods – they are the easiest to use and they do not damage your hair) and style my hair at home!

What I do is I wash it, air dry it until it’s half dry, and without brushing it, start curling my hair. I take a little section and curl it from the end all the way up and then just flex the roller so that the hair is fixed in that position.

When you are done, you’ll have to wait an hour or so before you remove the rollers. I sometimes use hair dryer for about 3-5 minutes before removing the rollers just to make sure the curls are dry.

Once I take the rollers out, I run my fingers through the locks, to give my hair more volume and then I spray just a little bit of Hairspray all over.

My hair looks fab, freeze free for about 3 days. All the curls look just right, as if the hair was styled in a salon. And the best part is that you do not use any electric curlers/irons to style it – so your hair stays healthy too!
